This massive thing showed up today, despite the rotating postal strike. The 9.9v battery turns out to be a LiIon which is strange since 1 cell is usually 3.6v for LiIon (3.3v is LiFe). Anyway, charging it now as a LiIon 3S which is technically 10.8v. Hasn't seen smoke yet and it seems to be taking the charge.
On the plus size, the baby runs on a fully charged LiPo 2S at 8.4v. If I feel lucky I might try a 3S lipo and see what happens.
The smoker is amazing. I put in some MegaStream and ran it for 20s and almost trigger the fire alarm. And its proportional. Will have to see how it runs tomorrow.
Big Mike, it does have a very small travel front suspension and it is rubber tires with a hard centre core down the middle on the inside.

Just in case anyone else (Ed ?) is interested. Ran it last night in the party room in my building, hardwood floor and it was basically slip and slide. Smoke, sound and 720p FPV. Way over the top, massive and tons of fun. But you will need a big area to run this sucker. Maybe I will take it out to Hach's air field where he runs his truck to really whip this thing around. The iPad/cell phone screen controller is not the best, especially when you try to finesse in smaller area. The party room is probably about 50' x 50' and I still have to be careful.
