| Think Tamiya........Everytime I look at something I just compared it to a Tamiya and you will think it is not so bad, and you are probably the only one that has it........ |

| How did you get the FAMO from Asiatam? I looked at their site and there didn't appear to be any shipping to the US or Canada. I've also looked at their ebay site and they don't have the FAMO there. _____________________________________________ You may be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper! - Death

Chris, Open up an account first and put in your details. USA is definitely there when you do that. Once you have an account, it will show you different prices as we saved on the VAT when you browse the individual items. Funny enough I don't see Canada on the list anymore, but I had an old account and it already has me as in Canada........ Super fast shipping too. From order to arriving only took two weeks. I have to order a 20mm AA gun for the FAMO bed too. It will be an AA unit. |

| Apparently the FAMO uses the same Maybach HL-108 12 cyclinder as the Pz III and also using the 37mm gun (Will be adding the AA 37mm). So basically the early PzIII sound set from IBU. |

| That's cool. I found that Elmod has boards and sound set for the FAMO as well. _____________________________________________ You may be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper! - Death

| Throws tracks because of those HUGE rubber footpads... Damned those are big... Yea, I'd like more mainstream halftracks too. |

| It has one coat of Tamiya grey primer and one coat of Germany Grey. I think I will keep it grey.
The pads are absolutely humongous. It raises the back half by almost 2mm. The track throwing was caused by the drive socket not catching the track after one cycle. Funny thing is that there is rollers as teeth on the sprocket so you would think that would be the last of your problem. Anyway I geased the sprocket and now it seems okay.
The only thing is that the gear box is just two bevel gears off the motor so if there is any kinda of pull it will slip off the pinion shaft or drive shaft essentially. I might have to drill some holes for the grab screws. |
