O.K. guys, I think I have worked this out. Is it perfect? no, but it will get us started...
The whole reason for this is we have spent 3 or 4 thousand dollars on this field to make it combat friendly and a challenge to operate on. If we just wanted to have a place to drive around and take pot shots at one another we would have just left it as an open space with a short mowed lawn. We will always make sure that we have several battles that are open to any tanks but we feel the time has come to organize this a little more and add some competitive structure to some of the battles. I know there are some that will not like this, and some who may stop coming out or come out less but most of the regulars have been hinting and asking for this for a while so somebody had to take the bull by the horns so to speak!
1) You must have a Tamiya apple receiver. This apple must be able to receive hits at a minimum of 10 meters. The apple must not be obstructed by any stowage, guns, figures, etc.. in a 360 degree radius.
2) You must have an emitter capable of hitting a Tamiya apple at a minimum of 10 meters
3) Your emitter must be recessed at least 9mm back inside a tube...
4) your tank must not be excessively fast to scale speed for the type you are operating.
5) your tank must have the damage speed set up
All stock full option Tamiya tanks will be deemed to be set up properly once tested for the above. As all Tamiya tanks are preset this will only apply to Clark Boards, IBU’s, ASP, SLU’s, etc…
Your tank must be set for the appropriate number of hits to destroy it. Tamiya's are preset of course So all others will be set up according to models:
Heavy takes 9 hits. These are tanks like Tiger, King Tiger, KV-1 & 2, and will include all assault guns, Stugs, Jagdpanthers, Jagdpanzers,
Medium takes 6 hits These are tanks like Shermans, Pz. IV, T34, Pershing
Light takes 3 hits These are tanks like Pz. III, and will include our automated gun positions
Your tank must be set for reload times as follows:
Heavy 9 sec reload
Medium 5 sec reload
Light takes 3 sec reload.
your tank must have the following damage settings:
First hit reduces speed to 50% regardless of class.
at the following number of hits the speed is reduced a further 25% - Heavy 5 hits, Medium 4 hits , Light 2 hits
Your tank must run at close to scale speed based on the model tank you are operating. We have a chart for most models. If your tank runs at excessive speeds we should be able to trim your radio throttle to reduce it to manageable speed.
Please review this and if you have any questions let me know!
