Picked this one up not long ago. Juckenburg resin upper. Henglong lower with metal tracks. Had Taigen MFU and metal gearboxes. Barrel is fixed at the moment. Someday I'll give it proper recoil, elevation and traverse. Wanted to make it a runner so I am installing an IBU2U I had originally for the IS3. So far I've reinforced the hull with glass and resin. Also added a raised battery tray and added hold down magnets. Once I get it operational, I may make the light functional, add a receiver and emitter and barrel flash.
Cheers

Interesting magnet in hull attachment points. Great 5 stage reduction motor/gearboxes, slow and torque to hell.

That barrel mount is gonna take a bit of effort if you want elevation/recoil...

Yeah. Getting that barrel free and not messing anything else up is gonna be a challenge. Hence why I will worry about it in the future!  thumbs up

As for the magnets, that is where the screws holding the hulls together were. One of the rear holes had to be filled in a little as the hole was too close to the edge.

The IBU2U can support a 3 cell lipo so that is what I will be using. Power? Check. The 2 cell in the pic was just for trial and setup cause it was what I had charged.

On the subject of lipo battery, I highly recommend anyway that has the option to use 3S rather than 2S should give it a try. If you think you 2S lipo last much longer than NiMH, you should see 3S........
