Got this pre-pandemic but as always with Ludwig kits you need to find bits and parts for it to complete the build. So I just open it up and determined all the missing bits and now they are on the way from Aliexpress (All HL Pz III suspension parts and tracks). Still trying to figure out the right barrel and muzzle brakes. Also maybe some scale of SS11 with it ?

Hey Mike. Are those the idlers that look like sewing machine spools in your image showing the kit parts? They look a tad large compared to the real thing....

The single pc road wheels and the 3 piece sprockets seem to match up...

N/M... I just noticed the PZ III remark...

I will have to look at it when it is up. Not going to change it. The wheels are all from the kit. I am only using PzIII suspension bits.

Your recoil works perfectly in the thin turret. Will post some pictures as I have done more turret work since then.

Two quick pics. Jarlath recoil unit in the thin turret, a old 360 servo for rotation. Still have to think about elevation and this is not your usual fair.......  :-)

Geeze.. That turret looks like I 3D printed it... Smile
(I wish I had the files to do so).

My recommendation is a servo for elevation. Servo in/on the rotation unit with lever arm either to the turret back edge of rotation or under the recoil unit. Further from the pivot point = greater fine control.

Might put a small servo right where circled and use the elevation rail on the recoil. A little worry about the whole thing as the servo unit is only mounted mostly via that one piece of styrene at the front. We should see.
