Good afternoon fellow Tankers...
I have a problem with one of my full option Tamiya King Tigers. Up front, I will ask the the Anti-Tamiya slagging be kept to a minimum with replies keeping to help me with this issue please.
The tank performs as it should 90% of the time. The other 10% refers to an issue upon firing. The firing button is set on a momentary switch on the back of the transmitter and when the button is depressed ( no, not bumed out depressed, the other kind) the cannon fires, the recoil on the barrel does it's thing, but, it keeps doing it's thing. 9 times. Looks kinda rude if your into the freudian thing.
So, the recoil seems to want to keep recoiling over and over after the flash is gone off and the cannon firing sound is long gone. It's like the tank is really gettin into it....too much though. So, I'm looking to try and curb this kings wild ways and only have it recoil just once.
No, I won't post video, ya never know who is trolling these forums.
Any thoughts/help ?

| I don't have any experience with Tamiya's, ( might get one this summer ) but have you check the wire connections to make sure the contacts are good or it could be the micro switch on the recoil not functioning correctly. Just some ideas. I'm not sure, but I thought I read some where there was a reset for the Tamiya electronics. You might have to post this question on RCU, they have more guys with Tamiya's over there. If you find out the problem let us know. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Anti Tamiya slagging ??? Tamiya make's a good product (yes over priced but..), its some of the big headed owners that get made fun of.. but none of them are here. ...so far... Oh and maybe take your finger off the fire buttion, once you have fired...newguy.... ... _____________________________________________ The Great Pan-Tiger |

| Finger on the fire button. Dammit, I knew there was a simple solution !
I'm thinking that the barrel may need to be lubed up (spare me the jokes...lol) as if it's not reaching it's contact point's, the thought process is, that it will keep trying to recoil until it's timed out. I'll pull it apart tonight and have a look.
The other issue I'm having, is that at full throttle, the drive motors shut off. I have recalibrated the receiver with no success. I have switched receivers, charged batteries, ensured nothing is binding, removed tracks, changed motors...lol basically rebuilt the tank and it still does the, stop at full throttle thing. At a loss here. Anyone a Tamiya expert ? _____________________________________________ My Tanks <<== Click hereCan-Am Tank Club <<< Web site linkTiger I | King Tiger | Panther G | PzIII | PzIV | Stug IV | SturmTiger | Pershing/Howitzer | M16 Halftrack | M26 Super Pershing | M48 Patton | M41 Bulldog | Gepard | Leopard | KV-1 | KV-2 |T-34

| Lubricated the gun shaft, appears to have solved the issue.
The stopping issue at full throttle appears to be directed to a short in a battery. When drawing upon full power it would short out. Replaced the battery with a brand new one and issue is gone. Only gone after taking the entire tank apart and putting it back together...lol
I did get a chance to swap in a set of 400 motors while I was at it though.. Oh yea ! _____________________________________________ My Tanks <<== Click hereCan-Am Tank Club <<< Web site linkTiger I | King Tiger | Panther G | PzIII | PzIV | Stug IV | SturmTiger | Pershing/Howitzer | M16 Halftrack | M26 Super Pershing | M48 Patton | M41 Bulldog | Gepard | Leopard | KV-1 | KV-2 |T-34

| On the plus side, I learned more about Tamiya diagnostics, got to change the motors out and was able to get all the gears lubed up which looked a little dry. So not a complete loss.
Thanks for everyones input.
Happy New Year everyone.
