So after seeing the nice M51 turret and upper Dean got from this guy in Montreal who has 3D print connection in China, I took a chance and bought a complete 3D print RC tank from him. Just arrived today. I still have to open it up but everything looks proper. There is gearbox inside and I have seen it running, with all the proper RC mechanicals like elevation and recoil. I also ordered some larger scale bits from him, and all you need to send him is the print files and he can scale it. If you buy a whole tank from him he buys a print file from cults3D and print from there. This is his eBay site but I deal with him directly.
Will update everyone once I have a chance to look at it in more details. But here you go. The first Tortoise in the club. What can I say. I like them big.

An interesting fusion between FDM (Spool fed) and SLA (Resin vat).

Inside is half decent even when it is upside down.

Chris I would double check the dimension first from him. I did that with the tortoise and I would do the same for the T28 or the Maus. I can also get you his DM and it will be cheaper than eBay. Basically same $ but in Cdn so you will have a discount for sure.

Where do you get the 32 pounder barrel for that big boy? My Sturmtiger is sweating

Surprising amount of detail bits and also duplicate parts. Tons of links so I assume that is for the suspension, but also another set of rear sponsons (??????), another back deck, some extra hatches, lots of smoke dispensers and two 32 pound barrel. Pretty straight for a 3D printed part. I will need a detail walkaround to get all these parts on the tank. Some of them are not obvious. Wired up LEDs and even an on-off toggle. This is like the deal of the century if it actually runs half decent. The real thing only get 19km/hr max so even it moves like a tortoise it would be like the real thing. Real thing as in the tank and not an actual tortoises. Got to queue up all the tortoise puns.

I really think we should have at least one certified battle where each team has to have a heavy TD. Not a Stug or JP/IV type but the real big boys

Some basic functions test. The right track is not completely fitting to the sprocket so will have to sort that out, but certainly go enough to go this Saturday.

Is it set up for battle? How many hits does that beast get?

Yes. It has the apple mount installed already, but I need to find a place for the IR emitter. I might just use one that is attached to the apple as there isn't a built in spot for it. Or use a Tamiya mount on the barrel. The barrel is pretty rough so no worries of it scratched.
Fix the stuck sprocket so it is running not half bad, which makes this a great deal. One of a kind and 3D printed ready to run. I think I pay something like $400 all in for it.
I already order my second one and might order a third.

Not that there would be a problem with having 3 Tortoises. I'd have 3 Sturmtigers if I could afford it and I definitely can't after the realization I am pushing my luck on one last trip to the field on my rear tires, 2 of those installed are the price of an eBay NIB Tamiya
