| Hey all, it is that time once again. Aquino 2024, July 26-28.  Who all is attending Aquino this year? Up is a poll for membership attendance. It will also allow Dean some insight into the "wristband" availability that needs to be addressed. If you are going to need more than one wristband, speak up! Friday, July 26th: opens @ 9am, closes @ 5pm (Setup is usually in the morning, cutting grass, etc...) Saturday, July 27th: opens @ 10am, closes @ 5pm Sunday,  July 28th: opens @ 10am, closes @ 5pm (Teardown starts around 2-3pm) For those who are attending, I have once again started the reservation of rooms at the Courtyard by Mariott in Oshawa. I have been quoted at $159 per night + taxes and that includes breakfasts. (That is $10 less than last year!) So if you are interested please let me know ASAP. Please PM me, or email me your name, total guest numbers and what day you need a room for (aka Friday only, Friday & Saturday, etc...) Please also let me know who is wanting to partake of our traditional Aquino BBQ skills once again for the Friday and Saturday night dinners! We have time for the menu to be figured out... I will be arriving in Oshawa on the Thursday so that we can start on the grass first thing Friday morning. I will once again be bringing out my enclosed trailer for my mobile workshop and for overnight storage of attendee's RC tanks (I may not fit everything if everyone brings their 1/6 scale tanks LOL). | Sorry for not replying sooner - been sick as a dog for the last week.
The four of us will be there for the entire weekend (with a T-34, Sherman, and Stug), and we are in for a room and BBQ. As we are not formal club members, my understanding is that we will have to get our own wristbands.
(EDIT And this time, we'll remember the [BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP] tank receivers and lawn chairs. That was just embarrassing last year...)

| I officially have to send in the rooming list before June, so that means you have basically 2 weeks remaining. 4 rooms left at $159 per night plus taxes. Includes breakfast (hopefully better GF options for you Derek!)
My wife and I are still discussing dinners.
The Meat & Potato combo with a Veggie seemed to work well. We'll attempt to do that again. I'll start a separate thread for that and input however! |
