| Been a while since I had anything on the bench. Hoping to make this operational quick. Hoping to keep the bug to pick up the IS3 again. I've had all the parts for a few years. Heng Long PZIII. Plastic gears. Its amazing that these tanks work at all out of the box. Found 2 pinched wires in the turret. Also found one of the 9 pin wires chaffing on the stock board all the way through the insulation. Wires were soldered on the board with prayers. Already gutted the bb shooter and installed Jarlaths Gen 2 barrel recoil. Gutted the hull innards. Resin poured in the belly and first layer of glass. | Ahhh. Layouts in the tiny PZ III & IV. I remember those!
I see you are taking to good wire routing practices! Excellent!
But Fiberglass reinforcement? Damned Overkill! LOL. |

| The overkill reinforcement was the metal plate I fitted to the bottom of the Imperial Panzer. Glass and resin is the norm for me. Ha haa. _____________________________________________ You may be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper! - Death

I'm not old. Yet. Maybe next month. I have found its easier to see all the bits and bobs in the hull with the white background. _____________________________________________ You may be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper! - Death

| I finally removed 2 of the plastic track links on both sides on my HL PZIII and had no issues yesterday for the first time ever battling with it. Big Mike did a great job on my PZIII but the track issues were annoying. Since the little guy only lasts less than 10 minutes at most in the battles as long as the plastic tracks have no issues for that length of time I'm happy with them and can actually contribute to my team. I think when they are loose they twist turning just enough which pulls the pins out of the tiny area they are joined in and then you de-track. So running them quite tight seems to work. Obviously check them out at the end of each battle to see if they have started to come apart but I saw nothing either time after the battles |
