| Subject: Do Diffrent Brands of tank work for IR? Sat Apr 13, 2013 1:35 am | |
| Well i have a few friends that might pick up a Henlong tank each and since i am going for a tamiya i was wondering if the IR system is the same or if i need to order something special? (OR they do) Also they want to know how much it would cost to upgrade an HL tank to be close to a tamiya in running power.
Thanks
Tiger
Edit:One is looking at a Tiagan tank as well i think........ What IR is used as the universal system? _____________________________________________ |

| Tamiya is the standard, a basic HL will not work with them. There are a few aftermarket parts that will convert HL into Tamiya standard, like the MAKO boards, etc. OR you can just order a HL from Curtis and Immortal Hobbies, I think he can hook you up with a basic HL style tank and slide in a Clark board & decent 2.4ghz radio, send FreakyDude a msg! Basically, HL only works with HL, and everyone else uses Tamiya standard... so that includes Tamiya, Clark, SLU, DBC, El-Mod, _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Good to know, i will pass it on to my hopeful fellow RC tank seekers.......(I just need to peel them off warhammer now its been invaded by 10 year olds that steal....)
Or ill need to get a second tank thats the same as there to start off with and slowly customize......(I DO want to make a Panzer 4s,Jadgtiger or Vk3002) _____________________________________________ |
