| I am checking the authenticity of some of the camo patterns I posted in the other thread, including a post on RCU. Have had numerous views but no comments. I think what I need to do is paint the tank, then post the pictures there, then I will get comments on the authenticity (or lack there of) of the camo/colours _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| I like this one, the contrast between the white wash melting and the mud looks really cool. You can do a lot with the mud / dirt texture with this one. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| While the picture I posted is a nice drawing, if a person is trying for an accurate depiction, drawings can be suspect, since a drawing is one persons's interpretation.
That pattern/colour is attributed to April 1943.
However, in Feb. 1943, they started painting the Tigers yellow at the factory, in place of the grey.
So either it was a Tiger made prior to Feb. (and still around), or, the drawing is not accurate.
Of course, the old B&W photos from back then are difficult to determine actual colours from.
Sometimes if you think to much about this stuff, it will drive you crazy. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Glen, How could you determine the camo scheme on the top of tank. most case the photo or picture only shows the side view. |

| A "yellow" Tiger. Grossdeutschland, Kharkov, Russia, March 1943; Colour plate and historic B&W's of the same Tiger. They removed the Feifels (nice for the Taigen quick release upper hull, no hoses) but it has the smoke launchers aqnd the spare track on the front of the hull of the early version. Both from "Tiger I On The Eastern Front" by Jean Restayn, I recommend this book to any Tiger enthusiast. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

Most of the patterns were individual creations, done in the field, by the tank crew, using spray guns. It is hard to prove what is right or wrong with the lack of real information _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."
