| Well i am down to 3 tanks for my first and i really can't figure out what will be better for a total noob! I will take all feedback into consideration and will include the price.
-Tamiya King Tiger (new in box) $647
-Hooben Elephant $425 (Might be beyond my skill, but i do have the Sound board & a pair of 480 motors...)
-Taigen Tiger 1, $400? (I can replace the motors & control board.....but have no idea how to rewire the turret safely)
So ya the final countdown! what do you guys think? (I am leaning towards the tamiya personally but i do rather like ideas\suggestions!) _____________________________________________ |

| Last time we did this thread, it ended badly Go Taigen. Don't touch the turret. I don't know why you'd think you have to :\ _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

Go Taigen. Don't touch the turret. I don't know why you'd think you have to :\ Because the turret didnt turn one way or recoil when fired lol _____________________________________________ |

| Unless you buy the same tank again, with the same asiatam unit, that's statistically very unlikely to be the case again. I don't recall if stock Taigens even come with recoil. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Were NOT seriously doing this again! Why do you have start a new post every two weeks about the same thing? Just decide what you want in a tank, find what fits the best and just buy the damn thing already! Your worse then a woman picking out shoes. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

Your worse then a woman picking out shoes. ^ Ya except shoes don't catch fire, possibly fry them selves How hard is a Hooben to build though? I REALLY want to build a model kit style so thats why the Tamiya is in the lead however no one will tell me how hard a Hooben kit is or what it takes. - Airbrushler wrote:

Ya i was looking at that till i noticed how much it would cost to get a big pop on the tank, the first one i need right now needs to be more fancy then functional since i am trying to show off RC tanks to the locals so i can try & get other people interested. (Seeing a pimped out king tiger running around and so on for example with lots of detail work done might get more interest) _____________________________________________ |

| If you want to build an Elefant, then buy an Elefant, because you like the Elefant and learn!
There are NO PERFECT TANKS that don't require learning and tinkering.
Just buy what you like!!! That's it, period.
With all the parts, upgrades and info available you can build what you want as time and money allow.
So sh*t or get off the pot! _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Hey, I just came up with this idea all by myself....ready? Buy what you want and customize! I've boughten my tanks on whims cause it sounded like a good idea. In fact I just did it again, but I'm keeping it hush hush,....oops. Write the tanks each on a piece of paper, put'em in a hat and pick one. Don't say anything until u get it in the mail and unbox it! Paint the fence! Up! Down!....Up! Down! Listen to Mr. Meogi! _____________________________________________ My Tanks = HL PzIII, HL KV-1, Tamiya Leopard (unbuilt)

| I wouldn't do any of the above Do you stiulkl have the e-mail I sent you when I prioced the Taigen? Mail the clark board back to me and I will install it for you gratis/free/no charge. Buy the Taigen from me and I will do the Taigen with the recoil shipped to BC for a decent price.
I gaurantee your tank will work and you won't have to scratch your head on building anything.

| .....Freaky you are tempting me so very much its awesome Can you give me a quote on it? Via Pm? I am just thinking how bad it might be if i order my Tamiya then get hit by a customs fee....... It all comes down to price sadly. Also for RC battleing\Customization would a Metal or non-metal be better? _____________________________________________ |

(is it worth it on a tiger 1?) As things sit i need somthing i can run through the backyard, off little jumps and so on since i am trying to get a friend to order a Sherman from Freaky lol _____________________________________________ |
