| For my T-34 I'm planning on using a Clark board with servos for the elevation and for the recoil. I'm a little uneducated when it comes to servos. Is there a certain type/size I should be looking for?

| I went with the standard sub-micro, HS-55's. Usually between $10-20 _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

Is there a difference? As far as I know they are the same copy of each other just under different names. Oh, and was a WSN. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| I just bought 4 of those for $20 too. Haven't use them yet but they will work I am sure. Same size as the HS-81 I used on the WSN.
BTW, I think WSN also sells the Tiger/T34 as static models but Torro is only RC. |

| OK here is the skinny on servos for the Clark 2 types Analog and Digital, for a Clark board - Who cares. The board don't, it's an equal opportunity user. The two gear types are plastic and metal. Use metal if you can afford them as you get longer life out of them which equals less maintenance and they are much stronger and run truer. Plastic gears strip when things come in contact with your barrel or your moving your tank around and you push it. if you are lucky and buy a name brand replacement parts are available or you can buy servos for 5 bucks and just replace them. Think that is a bad thing? sometimes no because the teeth of the servo can act as a safety- meaning that when something does hit your barrel its much easier to replace a $5 servo than all the guts etc holding the barrel in.
Stince That servo will work fine but when you buy it make sure it comes with arms.
Me i switched to metal servos but that is because I am a dumb azz and keep forgetting to turn my KT barrel sideways when I go through ditches, stripped 3 servo already this year lol |

| Thanks for the info Curtis, I'll try to get out to the hobby shop this weekend and maybe see what they have that I can use for the steering for the Half-track too.

| Hey Curtis, the HS-55 or HS-81 are only plastic gears, right ? I mean unless you go for the $30 jobs you won't get metal gear, no ? If it is all plastic anyway, I would take the no name $5 instead of the $15 HiTec ones. |

Mike I have 9.99 tower pro servos in stock, they are metal gear servos If all you guys want I can mass an order from each of you in the same pot and get them for like 6 or 7 bucks including shipping costs. It will take about 2 weeks to get here but they are great metal geared servos. About the same size as the HS81 but I can get a micro version for the same cost for those little tanks we all have. |

| Alright Curtis, bring me couple when we meet up and I will try them out. They look and measure slightly bigger than the Tower Pro SG-90 and the HS-81. Do they have a stronger pull ? |

| yes it would work just make sure you set your end point adjustments. A full 180 deg of turn is actually what you don't want for recoil as the servo can move too much. It will be smooth as silk though once you get your distances done and set |
