| The Jacques Littlefield's private collection has been sold to a museum in Stow, Massachusetts, and it's only a 6hour drive from our battlefield!!! They should be ready for display in 2015. So who's up for a road trip? http://www.sfgate.com/business/technology/article/Silicon-Valley-tank-collection-heading-east-4972136.php#photo-5443187For those that don't know Jacques Littlefield had the largest private collection of tanks and other military collectables, he had over 220 military vehicles. He was featured many times on the show Tank Overhaul. He passed away from cancer in 2009 Here is a list of some that he had. As well the Foundation had done Jacques wrong buy selling the collection, that is not what Jacques wanted but greed wins again, also some of the items will be sold to a big time Russian collector as well . _____________________________________________ The Great Pan-Tiger |

| It's odd that a private collection sells to a Museum, when they don't the money to put up buildings to house the largest tank collection in the U.S. They are all sitting outside rusting in Virginia after being moved from Maryland. You think they could have gotten some of those tanks.
"As of July 2013 most of the outdoor exhibit (+90%) have been moved to Fort Lee Virginia and the museum is closed. Items in Fort Lee are stored and not open to the public."
A real shame... _____________________________________________ My Tanks <<== Click hereCan-Am Tank Club <<< Web site linkTiger I | King Tiger | Panther G | PzIII | PzIV | Stug IV | SturmTiger | Pershing/Howitzer | M16 Halftrack | M26 Super Pershing | M48 Patton | M41 Bulldog | Gepard | Leopard | KV-1 | KV-2 |T-34

I couldn't get people to go to the Oshawa Tank Museum this summer when I suggested.
Good luck organizing a trip to MA. or VA.

| Danville: I'm in, if timing is right next year. Massachusetts: Let's see where they are in 2 years, but love to. Oshawa: Been there! Be a great opportunity for the club to put on a display during one of their Tank Days. And another great place to go, is the War Museum in Ottawa, especially with the 100 Anniversary of WWI coming up. Been there too!! _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Once again, I'll put it out there, if anyone wants to go to any of these venues, I'll go. I better empty my in-box as I know it will be full from all your requests... _____________________________________________ My Tanks <<== Click hereCan-Am Tank Club <<< Web site linkTiger I | King Tiger | Panther G | PzIII | PzIV | Stug IV | SturmTiger | Pershing/Howitzer | M16 Halftrack | M26 Super Pershing | M48 Patton | M41 Bulldog | Gepard | Leopard | KV-1 | KV-2 |T-34 | |

| Trips for me suck because of my perma-nightshift schedule with little or no room for time off... oh the joys of youth The Ram at Borden was awesome up close, what a sexy tank! This collection looks awesome. One day I'll come along on a trip... the Ottawa museum I've never been too! _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

I have wanted to go ( for years), plus take my time not rush. But it is tough to make something like that happen. Wayne |

| It's really not that tough. Set a date, get the time off work, set up accommodations, go. Done.
I've done these type of trips dozens of times.
The biggest challenge is making the commitment. Once that's done, you're on your way.
So, pick a date and go...simple. _____________________________________________ My Tanks <<== Click hereCan-Am Tank Club <<< Web site linkTiger I | King Tiger | Panther G | PzIII | PzIV | Stug IV | SturmTiger | Pershing/Howitzer | M16 Halftrack | M26 Super Pershing | M48 Patton | M41 Bulldog | Gepard | Leopard | KV-1 | KV-2 |T-34

| Museum in Ottawa is a must, been once and spent 6 hours in the tank section alone, is a must see. Would go again and might actually know a few things about tanks this time. Also they have the Diefenbaker bunker just outside Ottawa, really cool cold war setup. |
