SO. i have been interested in tanks all my life, I looked on ebay and found a 40$ heng long abrams. It looked cool so i bought it. then i found a couple of infrared tigers so i bought them. I live in burlington so there is really only 2 hobby that sell rc stuff/ModelTanks.

Then one day i walk into a little store call skycrafthobbys. The FIRST thing i see is some rc tanks. Of course i bought one.
(KV-1) It would not turn on or move just made static noise

Next day i took it back because it was not working. So they took the broken one and i got a new one.(King Tiger) WHAT DO YOU KNOW its broken.(The airsoft gun wouldent shoot) So once again i take it back and got a new one, we decided to test it to make sure it works before i take it home. (Tiger 1) Works great, tracks where too tight and snapped but i fixed it.

A week later i come back in with the intention to buy another tank. Only panthers where left. Oh My God. . .  We must of went through 3/4 tanks before we got a working one.       Then after another week they got the new tanks in. Turns out they are not all panthers . . . I think they are doing this just because of me lol.

Anyways I painted the Abrams and got some more tank models.

The 3 M3 Lees can have gearboxes put into them so if anyone knows anybody that sell them hit me up.

Hi John, welcome to the forum.

Yes, this hobby is addictive.

If you get another tank, don't worry just come to the forum and we will be able to give you an answer to fix it.
Everyone at some point has had an issue with a Heng Long, but are usually easy to fix.

Quick question, Where do you guys buy the infared sensors? Also will ANY kind of infared thing work?

The 2 little tiger 1s are infared. I might just take it out of there or just convert it to a smaller ww2 real life tank thats still in 1/16 scale. maybe convert it to arillery? What do you think?

It still has blotches of base coat on it, I currently dont have a soddering gun get so i can remove the turret exactly. But just right now im turning the mini tiger into a SPG gun carrier. Fingers crossed it turns out. Ill post pictures soon!

@Tomzag, the pictures did not turn out well in almost complete darkness just with the flash. Tommoro ill post some with them in proper lighting.

(Sorry if you guys are getting email notifications and i am bugging you)

Hey John,

if you need any help in person fixing tanks I'm in Hamilton. we can always meet up and take a look.

I started last year.  the internal electronics can be daunting if you don't know where to start but are actually fairly simple. you just need someone to explain it the first few times.
