| I seem to be the Black sheep of this Club.... what would be the allowance in battle of an Abrams or Leopard 2A6M if I were to strap an IR system to it? |

| I'm all for it. Variety is the spice of life! For the IR setting I have no idea. You might want to check with Tim, I think he has a battle system in his Leopard. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Sure, we are restricted by the elecrtonics we are using, but I imagine that an Abrams or Leopard 2 would have 12 hits. And you could always set it for less. I am working on getting my Leopard 1 ready for combat and Ke has a T-55. |

I would like a Lepard but the price better be right for a tank I will gut like a pig. humm Leo SLU ??? _____________________________________________ The Great Pan-Tiger |

| Yeah, I was waiting on them both actually.... The Leopard SLU according to the website isn't available yet, but with the HL electronics in it YHR sells DBU's with Benedini sound units. Pretty cool.....
... Cant link the videos yet for some reason... |

| There is a "clone" company that sells Leos.... Arctic Hobby Landrider 403 Its a carbon copy of the Hobby Engine one, and I know 5 are being sold off Amazon for about $119.
There was a place in Canada selling them for 99 but sold out apparently. |

| Monk. If you want a Leo-2 slu, I think you can get it as a special order. Manuficature already made it. It will not be difficult to get it. |

| Looks OK and with a SLU and a hobbie radio (Gears, traks) it would be a fun tank , cost about $350 to $400 to get it to be a IR battle tank. The Tamiya kit would be about that and then more to have it battle ready. Or just paint it and have fun. Im thinking about it ..... Thanks for the info. seen Wayne's leo today and it looked good, it's a tamiya. _____________________________________________ The Great Pan-Tiger |

| If I get a modern tank it is going to roar. So yes. I will save myself the extra $50 and not get a El-Mod thingy.... this isn't going to be anytime soon, cant kill the college fund |

| Gears from Heng Long,$35 Purshing tracks and sprocket. $22 Oh you may need two sets of tracks ? =$44.. SLU for Leo...? Radio..$60 to $95
I would not buy another DBU ,I have three and I find them too slow. With a Hobbie radio, no one will be on your frequency. And buy a better speaker..ROAR.. _____________________________________________ The Great Pan-Tiger

| Fine fine.... but if I get the Abrams then Benedini and ELMod are my only choice for proper engine sounds |

| Well for the money you could put it to having a cool sounding tank ...or a great runner / battle tank. As far as I know the Benedini is just a sound add on for the DBU. If you can get a DBU cheap than thats fine but I would not spend big buck on them and if the cost is $250 with sound card ..nope... Also I would use the saved money to buy the good motors and gears from ....PHIL RC TAK WARS ..... _____________________________________________ The Great Pan-Tiger |

| Monk. I just remove dbu and rx-18 from my pIII. If you want i can sell them to you at $80. So you just need get sound card.
