Today is my wife's birthday. So far we've mini golfing, had ice cream, I had nap and now we getting ready to go out for dinner and watch a movie. I don't know about my wife, but I'm having a good day.

My 4 yr old daughter just picked my wife's iPad and played a game of Mahjong all by herself.
It's amazing what kids do today compared to what we did at their age.

Yup that's the one for sure. What they don't mention is some of the cool features like, all the wheels are steel and tracks too, that's why the damn thing is so heavy. Lots of cast parts. Cheaper to buy this tank than try and upgrade your own TIger 1.

I just learn that Andy Griffith died. I remember coming home for lunch during school and watching the Andy Griffith Show re-runs for years.

Our power was out for 8 1/2 hours last night, it didn't come back on until 2:30 am and the storm wasn't even that big.

I remember we had one of those GTA region wide in 2003 or something..... had to eat all the ice cream and perishables trying to not let them go to waste...

Well I did a bone-head move today!

I just hot glue a piece of plastic to my finger. It hurt like a son of a female dog!!!!! It left a blister about a quarter of an inch round.
Then I grab the hot stream gluey plastic with my other hand..... OUCH! and ended up fling the the plastic part to the other side of the garage where it ended glue itself to the floor.

I need a beer.

Got a new controller off Ebay the other day. A Spektrum DX7 with seven channels and stores up to 20 receivers.
It only cost $70 plus shipping.





I had been watching a lot controllers on Ebay and notice a lot of them go for $30 to $60 cheaper than you can get from a retailer.
I saw a Spektrum DX5e with to receivers go for $58 . The controller a lone from a retailer cost $60.

Is that a 2.4 radio ?

I have two Spektrum DX5e already, and there nice controllers but with the DX7 I'll only need the one controller and I can run a bunch of these cheap receiver off it.

In theory, I haven't tested it yet, but read on multiple site that they work.

On Saturday my oldest daughter had a soccer game, they lost 9 -1 and it was their best game in my opinion.

You are probably wondering how I think a 9-1 lost is their best game. Let me tell you!

Their team only had 6 players show up and the games require 7 players. The team decided not to forfeit and play anyway. They ran the whole game, an hour and half short-handed and no subs (how many of us can do that now). These girls just didn't no the meaning of "quit". Even though the goals kept going by them, they never stop. You could see both the exhaustion and determination on their faces. Some times you can even learn something from a 7 year old.

I remember my youthful (hah..) hockey days, the wrath of god would come down upon anyone who made a habit of missing games or practices by good ol' Coach! hehe

My heart would explode after about 7 minutes of that.

I'm sure if I have to run 5 mins in this heat I would be throwing up.

My daughter just had another game. Thought they were going to play short handed again, until seconds before the game three more players showed up.
They won 2-1 with one sub, scoring all three goal! My daughter, the goalie accidentally kicked the ball in her own net. What can you do?
