Got a wedding to go to this weekend so can't make it unfortunately.

I will be attending, not sure for how long.  Will be there when I get there.  Bringing the 2 grandboys with me.  Therefore not filling out the poll

I’ll collect $ and pick up pizza again for lunch.

Holy MF, I totally forgot that today’s battleday was:

1. A certified battleday
2. A battleday that I volunteered to collect and pick up some Pop’s Pizza.

It’s a very photo friendly location.

Also the battles were excellent. Considering they were only teams of 3 the strategy involved was very cool despite a lot of crippled tanks     Also the little 1/24 scale tanks driving around gave a certain uncertainty as well that was like being hit by unexpected artillery or an airstrike  Was a fun battle day. Hopefully we can achieve teams of 6 or more on the next battle day as the way the field is set up now you really need to work in conjunction with your team rather than the old just random go out shooting on your own or sit sniping on the perimeter

The original colour shot you did is insane considering it was a phone camera shot. Everything in it, the building walls, the background sky and trees, the soil and pebbles and then the tank itself reminds me of that incredibly vivid colour of those early 1960's epic movies that used Panavision like The Great Escape for example. I'd love to post that image elsewhere

It turned out ok, for sure. If I remember correctly, the sun was behind some hazy clouds so it provided a subdued lighting effect.

What I find interesting is that, from the perspective that I took it, the barn and evergreens actually seem to look ok and to size...

Yes it was weird. Normally the trailers ruin the background. But I cropped out the barn and think it looks pretty amazing. The Sturmtiger is almost an afterthought, definitely the Ugly Duckling of the panzer world

I thought about cropping the barn but chose not to, as it added interest and kept the same dimension of the original image.

In the b&w shot, the barn looks burnt out as well.
