Holding up well. I think we can call those areas finished. Move on to the north side. Going to get rain everyday this week with only  possibly Wednesday being dry

I agree that area looks done; one minor job is filling the 3 holes by cathedral on SE corner where the shrubs were taken from.

I’ll probably get a load of soil and use it (once sifted) to fill the holes and build up the area by the edge of the mats for the airfield and fill in soil along wall at end of runway.

So went out today and between showers got all the rocks and bricks off the field... Hopefully get out a day this week after it dries out a bit and get the dirt screened and more levelling done... Looks like Wojtek got another road done! We are getting there!!!

If Wednesday's forecast stays nice I can come out for around 10 and work the whole day screening and filling that inner area from the picnic table road over to the farm. The area we did last Monday is actually bigger and was a little more difficult. Any barrowing needed is just a straight shot in. I'll leave the riverbank sides for the official workday next Saturday. We need lots of input from everybody on how to proceed as regards what if anything is being being placed on them

If I would have known for sure you were coming out even during the rain, I would have joined you out there.

Dean, Martin, Wojtek and myself kicked some serious a$$ at the field. The middle area has been broken up, screened and compacted with the rubber mats...more being done...

Sure did. Huge day. Those guys helping us out by dumping the soil with the Bobcat right on the field even though it is quite stony were huge. We probably have enough soil now for any projects going forward. Me and Wojtek went over some stuff we wanted to change up and it's going to be really good. Also the new road feature under the Cathedral is in but the cliff face is going to be expanded a bit along the river. Just digging out the soil there and having those huge flat rocks in place as a cliff into the river has opened up and flattened the riverbank. We should be able to work on that bank and get it cleaned up pretty well as I doubt it's possible to get as much rain as we have had this month again.

Yes Wojtek is going to install the 2 rock slabs today. One at river bed level to continue the curve of the rock face and the other is to extend it along the rock face below the cathedral. We might use some more of the slabs along that river. It really improves the look of the river and also helps reinforce and clean up the banks

I am going to go out Saturday morning with weed whacker. Going to bring big kitty out too to stretch her legs
 And putter away on the field.

If it's not raining Saturday when I wake up I'll come out to do some more work and run some tanks. Says cloudy right now but this year that means rain.

What a great work day. The field is really coming together now.

You, Wojtek, and Mitch have done so much work especially you Martin coming from Toronto so often! I k ow I ride your butts about having the field ready but please know this, if it wasn't for you guys I don't think I would have continued when I lost my field partner Ed. I truly do appreciate your efforts and you continue to improve thos field to make it the one of the premier outdoor RC Tank battlefields in the world!
