| Hi Guys,Here is the tentative 2024 Battleday and Event Schedule.Dues for this year will drop a bit to $125.00 each. We are changing what we have done in the past in that these dues will be required regardless of membership in the Waterloo Rod and Gun Club or not. This will allow us to reduce the dues a bit as we will have direct payments from everyone now. For this payment you will receive membership in the TOTY (Tanker Of The Year) competition, discount on Aquino tickets, and a new club T-shirt! Payment MUST be in by first official battleday May 18th. Payment can be made by paypal, e-transfer, or cash of course. For Aquino we have put much thought into how to make it fair for members since we only get 10 tickets from the museum for free. SO, what we are going to do is take the 10 tickets plus what the total we have to pay for MEMBERS that are coming and then split the cost among all attending MEMBERS. So lets say we have 15 paid up members coming , we get the 10 tickets, the remaining 5 are purchased for $75.00 for a total of $375 divided by the 15 total MEMBERS meaning the attending MEMBERS will pay $25.00 for the weekend... Hopefully that makes sense to you all! :-)March 9th Indoor day get together. come out and stretch your tracks before the season begins! March 24 Heritagecon model show in Hamilton. The largest model show in Canada! I will have 3 tables set up for selling some goods and displaying tanks. Come out and support the club and hunt around and you might find a deal or 2 on supplies you need. Who knows, sometimes there is even some 1/16 stuff up for sale!
April 6th FIELD WORK Weather permitting begin to get the field in shape in the morning and of course play in the afternoon.April 20th FIELD WORK as above (yea, I know, someone's birthday too! )May 4th FIELD WORK as aboveMay 18 FIRST OFFICIAL BATTLEDAY OF THE YEAR! June 8th REGULAR BATTLEDAYJune 22nd OPERATION BARBAROSSA!  REGULAR BATTLEDAYJuly 13th REGULAR BATTLEDAJuly 26, 27, 28, AQUINO WEEKEND at the Ontario Regiment Museum in Oshawa. Our big weekend to show off to the world what we do! We will have a few sanctioned battles over the weekend but not too many. August 10th REGULAR BATTLEDAYAugust 24th REGULAR BATTLE DAY Sept. 13, 14, 15, THE ED REIMER MEMORIAL BATTLE WEEKEND! This weekend is also in conjunction with the KW Flying Dutchmen's annual Air Show. Although a few of us will be there the whole weekend only Saturdays battles will count toward TOTY points for those who can only come one day.Sept. 28th REGULAR BATTLEDAYOct. 12th REGULAR BATTLEDAYOct. 26th REGULAR BATTLEDAYNov. 9th REGULAR BATTLEDAYDec. 14th Christmas get together and CanAm R/C Tank Club Battle Royale Points Competition Awards and end of season draw!This will give us 12 official battledays for the season. | Excellent. More battle days than last year. Hopefully we get Summer of 2022 weather rather than last year's as well |
