| After much practice, I feel more comfortable crimping JST connectors. The right tools (Iwiss) and some Youtube videos also helped. Now, I have one Deans (F) to Tamiya (M) wire adapter but I would like to make more. I have the parts but don't or can't find the proper crimper. Can anyone please lead me in the right direction? As always, much appreciation and thanks. _____________________________________________ Being new to this hobby, I am meeting a super group of people willing to share their knowledge and assistance. _____________________________________________________________________________ |

| yea. I guess it's a 2 step operation unlike the ratchet type for the JST which does it in 1 operation (Iwiss SN-01BM Crimping Tool) _____________________________________________ Being new to this hobby, I am meeting a super group of people willing to share their knowledge and assistance. _____________________________________________________________________________ |

Have one sitting sitting around and didn't realized it will work. Ya. It all a matter of how fast you want to do it. I've also found that the open barrel connectors have varying degrees of quality as well. I have 3 sets of crimpers for smaller ga wiring (22-28 AWG) JST/Futaba/etc.. and each crimps certain connectors better than others. |

| Cool will try that out. Tamiya style would be for power only so it won't be 22-28 AWG for me. I used the ratchet one for the JSTs. |

| All I use is 16 or 18 AWG on the tanks for power.
16AWG = 22A continuous 18AWG = 18A continuous
Motors typically only use 3-4A each at upper loads, but can draw >15A each if stalled (jammed tracks).
On RC cars I use 12 to 14 AWG for power (Some are 10 AWG) |
