| OK All. Aquino has finished. Hopefully everyone made it home safely and without incidents!
I want to thank everyone that attended, I hope you all enjoyed yourself (do not include heatstroke, sunburns, etc..., LOL) It seemed that for once I wasn't always in my trailer doing repairs (even if the only battle I participated in had the results voided!)
Images, comments, video links. Lets post them here.
How did everyone like the field layout? How was the Dinner(s) @ the hotel?
If you have complaints or comments about the hotel in any shape or form, please email/PM them to me and I will present that to my hotel contact. (Example, using the spare toaster to toast waffles instead of having a dedicated toaster for gluten free breads).
And I apologize MikeC, I somehow missed you in my hotel lists. So sorry for that. I will get you next year for sure! |

| I think this was the first time we had competition at the hotel to BBQ in 3 years of doing this. I also only took a few pictures, I'll post them tonight after work. Dean, the 1/6th King Tiger was a hit! But the smaller battery was dead after a single circuit around the Museum grounds. Victor and I could easily tell it was dying on the way back. |

| I thought it was because I didn't buy-in to the excellent Mike/Karen meal services for the weekend, so no hotel room for me ! No worries. I am sure I will never be missed again now ! I think years past you publish a list of the people that has rooms. I was going to check too beforehand. I ended up being needed back home anyway on Sunday so it worked out....... Until next year. |

| We had a wonderful time - thank you once again for having us (and especially to Mike for finally making my Stug a true outdoor tank)!
Our daughter loved making a new friend, and many thanks to Dean for giving us a push to getting the three of us in the general vicinity around Kingston talking to each other and organizing something. I just finished sending out those emails. Izzy's favourite part, however, was having bacon for breakfast in the hotel (make of that what you will)...
My favourite part was watching her get into two scrums with our Stug. Perhaps next year she'll be up to getting shot at as well.
The dinners were excellent, and thank you so much for them!
Really, my only complaint was the odd lack of organization when it came to printing out schedules (there were no pamphlets for people to carry around this year), and the heat. So, hopefully next year we won't be stuck with trying to ensure that our tanks don't get heat stroke... |

| WOW! Sunday was hot! The whole weekend was hot but especially Sunday! I want to thank EVERYONE who came out this weekend even if it was just the Saturday. Without all of you we just don't exist... From what I could see everybody had some chance to talk to the general public about our hobby and our club. I appreciate all of you who take a minute to answer peoples questions and queries. Thanks to everyone who helped with set up and take down. Many hands make light work! I was really happy with the setup this year. Our field was really enclosed and secure. The shade tents for the customers was much appreciated! I should have made signs this shade courtesy of CanAm RC Tank Club! LOL! Speaking of customers, we had 21 paying kids trying out the tanks. We didn't promote it hard case which was a good thing! LOL! 4 tanks either destroyed or damaged but all for a good cause. I think one or 2 of the teens and their dads we may see in the future... Special thanks to Mike and Karen for arranging the hotel, the use of the trailer for tents and tables, organizing the great meals that you keep upping the caliber every year. Thank you so much guys! It just wouldn't be the event it is for us without you! Special thanks to Mitch for the CC and Georgian Bay. A very generous gift that was much appreciated after a long hot day. Actually finished the bottle when I got home Sunday night... :-) Here is a pic I took of the field on Sunday morning just before the action started. Again, thank you all so much and see late August battleday! _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov

| Well Tom looks like he just won a tank battle, Mitch is totally focus on the tank, Norma and I looked like CSI just showed up where the dead body is. Derek and Dee is definitely battling and Russ' tank just flipped over.
Of course Victor is looking like a tank commander ! |

Of course Victor is looking like a tank commander ! That could be total concentration so I can easily find all the pieces it sheds in battle |

| And so the repair works begins from the kids playing... First casualty the Panther turret. This is a very, very, old HL tank so the plastic is quite brittle. Kid had jammed the barrel running into a building and virtually every screw point was destroyed. So out with the steel 2 part putty! :-) _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov
