This vehicle is based on the M4A3 Firefly prototype used for testing by the US Army in WWII and detailed to represent a 13th/18th Hussars tank of the British 27th Armoured brigade.

The lowest price ready-to-run RC Firefly available, it will make a great addition to your collection or can be used as a start point for your own Firefly Vc or Ic conversion.

I wanted to send this to you as a private PM but you have some security question on there so have to post it here....

Not to rain on your parade, but here is the problem, and an honest opinion Mate. Anyone who knows anything about the Firefly knows that the M4A3 was never really used for Fireflies. Certainly not issued to British units so this should be considered a what if. The 83 or so Fireflies that the U.S. contracted Britain to do conversions did have some M4A3's in them BUT with HVSS suspension not the VVSS shown here. None of them ever made it out of depot. So basically what you have is a HengLong Sherman with a radio box and a 17 pdr barrel stuck on it with some British decals. So all in, you have maybe $300 into it just going to Matomart without really hunting around for deals. So your price honestly is very unrealistic for what is considered a used tank.

Hi Dean, no problem, that's why my ad specifically states this an an M4A3 (and not a Sherman Ic or Vc)

Regarding price:

 - the exact same thing (M4A3 w radio box & 17pdr bbl) is selling on eBay by other vendors for $631.01 Can - well over my asking price of $515:

Regarding that "$300" estimate:

-The tank alone is about 250CAD depending who you get it from,
-the bbl is 25CAD, 
-the radio box from Haya on eBay works out to 70 CAD with shipping, 
-and the decals from Elite Armor on eBay work out to 45 CAD with shipping,
Plus paint/clearcoat, glue ect

So in other words I've got over $415 in materials/resources invested into it.


Regardless, thanks for the feedback, if in fact it doesn't sell I have no problem keeping it.

Yes, very famous picture. The turret was dropped onto the hull but was not operational.

You really paid $70 bucks for a radio box??? Wow! And it is the real basic one too!

Also in that picture note the split hatch configuration and that this is a low bustle turret .It is not a regular M4A3 turret. The Brits sent the complete turrets for testing. They also sent 2 to Canada to test. You can still see the one at Borden on the Grizzly lower.

and the Vc Conversion Kits now basically unobtainium.
