| I am scheduled to go in for arthroscopic knee surgery next week on Nov. 19th.
I hope this will alleviate the pain that has curtailed my activities for much of this year.
Can't get an accurate prediction on how long I will be laid up, seems like anything from a few days to a couple weeks, I will have to see how it goes.
This may impact on my ability to attend any indoor meets, if they are held in Nov. or Dec., I will have to wait and see how it goes. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Hope you heal quickly Glen, it'll be nice if you can make to Kitchener in December.

Thanks, I have been told today should be the worst day for the owie's, right now, it is tough to make it down the hall I am going in next week to get checked out, that will give me some idea how it's going to go. Right now Kitchener is a big question mark. At least the big snow that hit and is hitting Buffalo NY (JUST) missed here, there's about 6" on the ground here but off to the southwest, you can see the clouds that are dumping feet of snow in NY State _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Well, it has been about 5 days and I am seeing some definite improvements, though I still have a ways to go.
I am getting more movement and have not used a cane, so far, today.
The big day for me will be the appointment I have mid day on Wed. Nov. 26th. They will check things out and advise me of what I can and can't be doing over the next little while.
I am hoping the news I get is favourable for going to the Dec. 6th meet. But I will do what they tell me, if they advise against stuff like that, I will listen, I am looking at the long term picture and don't want to mess things up. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Well, no cane since last Tuesday Getting more movement and am able to handle the basement stairs (being careful). I have another appointment on Dec. 16th where I get another evaluation by the surgeon. If things carry on this way and I pace myself, I should be in good shape to work on field maintenance in the 2015 season. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Believe it or not I have some experience with needing a cane myself... not the most fun way to get about. That was a shattered ankle on Christmas eve in 2007.. blah! Surgery Dec. 25 and 3 days in hospital because all the recovery staff were on holiday... >< Anyway it's good to hear you are making progress! Sounds very encouraging, hopes for a speedy recovery _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT
