Hmmm... Clark also says the TK-24 wont work with the Asiatam or Tamiya recoil units..?

That's like half my tanks. Engine sounds are nice though!

Did Clark tell you that ? On the webpage it says it support Tamiya Recoil as well as "Classic" recoil meaning Heng Long which is the same wiring as Asiatam.

I see that he kill the AUX power to support the 2nd MG. He might need another micro controller for the new sound and hence cannot support Tamiya/Heng Long recoil perhaps ?

It is not a new board design so he is just re-jigging existing usage of power feed and micro controllers.

Other than the better sound what other features does it have from the T22s to justify the extra $30? scratch

CLARK MODEL
October 30 at 4:08am · Edited ·

Introducing TK24, the latest member of Tk20 series:
-Start to ship by end of Nov with new tk22 production run,
-All existing TK20/TK22 can be upgraded to TK24,
-HL recoil unit and tamiya recoil unit are not supported, we suggest to use servo recoil for best and realistic recoil movement as shown in this video, we will provide more and more recoil unit for different tank model on the market.
- Drive the track with the engine sound off feature still exist.

"Robert Tanzer One question is Taigen / Asiatams recoil supported?

Gives him a reason to sell more of his 3D printed / resin servo recoil units for HL tanks, which are actually pretty nice.

Universal Servo Recoil for Taigen/HL RC tank

Looks pretty cool, but nothing that you cannot do with the stock BB/Recoil unit, a handsaw, servo and some straight gears.

I also have couple of the converted Asiatam recoil to servo in my tanks as well.

Not likely to get the Tk-24 since I am okay with the current sound and not about to spend extra $25, but it wouldn't bother me if he stops supporting Heng Long recoil wiring (Heng Long and Asiatam).
