| The central area (assembly area) will be hard as concrete without the rain so maybe a little precipitation isn’t a bad thing. We’ll need to place the bricks somewhere else so we can work on that area...any suggestions? |

I can help out with that and I wouldn’t mind seeing the monster KT. Will you still be out around 3p tomorrow? |

| Since the bulk of it now is down to soil screening and that stone filled clay is brutal to screen when wet (although makes for a great surface when tamped down and drys) if you guys can get the remaining road layouts and bridge locations done in that central area I can come out mid week after a few days of the soil drying after the latest rain deluge and screen and level the soil if you maybe post up a diagram |

No need to apologize. I know that I for one would rather you put the money you would have spent on gas(which for me now is $80 r/t) toward a Clark board and IR system so you can battle this season. We are short people who come out to battle on a regular basis. The field stuff will get done. |

| Can you guys clear out all the garbage bricks and rocks on Sunday that are not going to be used off the field so we can finally get it ready soil wise and then it will be wide open for when we finally get enough people to come out and have some group input on where buildings. trees etc should be placed. Both of the 2 river's banks still need some thinking about |

| I moved a bunch of bricks today and yes, will do the rest Sunday. You would not beleive how dry the field is already. but it will rain tomorrow... _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov

May or may not show up on Sunday, depending on weather. It seems that it only takes a day (even after a few days of constant rain) for the field to dry up and a few days of sun to turn the soil/clay to concrete. |

| The low ground cover also looks great in photos and keeps the other broadleaf weeds from growing. I wonder if we can transplant that stuff to other areas of the field to keep the other, taller, less scale realistic weeds from invading the field. This may also have the hidden benefit of reducing the amount of Dean’s labour in spraying the Agent Orange. |

| It seems to be transplanting itself. I don't recall it being so prevalent in 2021. It really is a nice surface to run on when you leave the roads. Also take the little valley where the V1 ramp is located it's really taken over and looks great. Just need to re-do the railway tracks. It's excellent for holding the soil together as you can see in quarter of the field by the sign. It held it's areas from being washed away during the torrents of water that had been rushing over. Anywhere the soil was exposed was washed away. How has the area we screened and tamped on Monday held together |

| Currently only light rain so south end of field by the cathedral and airfield shouldn’t be affected at all.
Was thinking of taking a trip out to the field to check its condition; if not I’ll most likely be out tomorrow. |

| It looks like it's going to stop raining after 1 PM... If it is true, I'll go out around 2 PM to work on the roads till 5-6PM at least. A few more bushes will planted as well... |

Perhaps on the surface it's concrete but for the amount that has to be removed to screen it is still wet and clinging clay once you go down an inch or so as a result of the insane amount of rain this month. It's the same with the original pile we barrowed it over from. Once the last of the roads/bridges are put in that central area it needs pick axing and spread and then screen it as it dries out. Hopefully we don't need to actually barrow any more soil in but I think there is one spot that will still be too low below the road surface and will need to be filled in a bit more. Can't really do anything until we finally clear all the stuff that is not going to be used from there. Then the whole area will be wide open like the area we cleaned up on Monday which will make it easier to figure out where buildings etc need to be placed |
