My latest build. I have this sitting on the shelf for quite sometime, and have to think about if I want to sell it and get the Taigen release instead now that it is available. I heard many good things about the Taigen release, but at the end decided to build the Tamiya kit instead. I have some DKLM after market goodies (Super detail muzzle brake and a very nice set of metal alloy tracks). The big difference is that it appears Tamiya is going after the "Berlin" look, as I couldn't get the tracks and suspension adjusted to look like the box art or the Taigen look. Here is what it looks like (and the historical pictures):

And here is the Taigen look which makes it almost look like a different tank..... Taigen basically copied everything including the decals....... I changed my Tamiya numbers to 431 just in case I pick up a Taigen one as well which comes pre-painted/decaled/weathered.

Gosh that's a sexy kit. I've been waiting for Taigen to release their details on a bare-bones IS-2 kit, because I hate their running gear Very Happy
