I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder last year as a result of my experiences as a Firefighter. The side effects are severe anxiety and occasional mood swings. These symptoms come and go and are triggered by high stress or any situation involving injured or suffering children. That being said, when things are good, I feel great, but when I am under heavy stress, I tend to become a recluse and an introvert to avoid anything that will heighten my anxieties and trigger a negative social reaction.

I am sharing this with you as I feel I need to explain my lack of presence on the forum and leadership in the club as of late. It is my hope that with the new forum, website and sharing of my responsibilities that our club will continue to move forward and be fun for all those involved.

At the end of October's Battle-day we had a needed discussion regarding cancellation protocols and some decisions were made by those present as to how to better decide and communicate cancellations to the members. Glen and Ian graciously offered to help make that decision based on the forecast as of 6pm the night before and if the field could be prepared ahead of time. The other decision was that Glen would be an alternate key holder in case something happened to me. Along with the excellent Forum that Derek has made, I feel that we as a whole can now better regulate the club.

I fully intend to continue my involvement but I don't want my disability to derail things, and so with Glen, Derek and Ian's help on an executive level, our club will continue to function and be fun. Thanks again for helping alleviate some of my responsibilities.

Tim, I'm sorry to hear this.
If there is anyway I can help more let me know.

I just want to make the club as stress free as possible. I always see the Battledays as a stress relief and hope other do to.
It's all about having fun.

Tim, I think I have said that no one should have to bear the burden of keeping a club going.

You have done a great deal in getting the club kicked off and in the shape it is in and it is much appreciated.

I am not one to seek leadership positions in every outfit I join and don't want to "butt in" to things but if there is anything that needs doing, please let me know. By proximity to the field and personal situation, I am in a position to help.

I would sure like to see you remain involved, as long as it doesn't have a negative impact, you need to take of yourself; before you get anywhere near that point, just call.

I too would like to echo Glen's comments .This is a great club thanks to the efforts of Tim. Delegating the increasing responsibilities will free up time for him to enjoy it to the extent that the rest of us do.

You have my support

Tim you've been instrumental in my getting involved in the club & hobby and continue to do so. We all appreciate your ongoing efforts!

I'm sure we all share that sentiment. We have a great thing going here, and the great majority of the credit is yours.

I'm glad to help where I can!

I'm certain you have the support from the entire club, don't hesitate to ask any of us for assistance at anytime. I know that everyone will step up without hesitation.
