I'm very new to the hobby , looking to get into my first tank . I found a Tamiya M4 105mm on Kijiji new in the box (asking 600$ ) . Is this a good kit ? fair price for new in box ? I don't think he's a member of the forum as he told me he's not really a tank guy . I'm assuming this tank falls into the rules for battles with no issues ?

No that is a 2 channel one so no turret movement or MFU to plug the Tamiya Battle Unit into without spending a fortune. 

The Pershing new in box in Vaughan for $750 is a great deal for a new Tamiya especially since it comes with the radio so all you would need to buy is the base unit for the apple and an emitter and one of the club's apples at $25 and you  are good to go for about $850. That is incredibly cheap these days to start with a new Tamiya. I'm pretty sure someone in the club can sell you a battle ready Sherman if that is the tank you want. I might be the only member who doesn't own one

Oh nice! That is a good deal .. I will send that person a msg for sure . Just trying to do as much research as possible before I pull the trigger on anything . I see the heng long stuff is cheaper but I assume Tamiya is the gold standard and worth the money . My favorite in the tiger but

If you do end up buying the Tamiya Pershing go on sites like RC Universe and RC Tank Warfare for build threads on the various Tamiya. Saves a lot of aggravation on your first build. My first Tamiya was the Tiger. It was a fun build and a great running tank

Damn Martin that Pershing is a good price. Add a TBU and you are ready to go Jeremy !

Tiger I is also one of the Tammy's early model so you can also find deals as well like the Pershing and the Sherman. I would stay away from the Sherman if it is not a full option.

He was willing to meet in Hamilton but he was located more toward st Catherine's.  He replied to me right away and gave me good on it so maybe someone else ?

Like Mike said above if you would have rather wanted a Tiger which is one of Tamiya's best of the early ones they do come up for sale. Not sure what your budget is and unfortunately the GBP has gone up since I got my almost impossible to find Tamiya Panzer IV off of this guy in the UK but he has a bunch of pre built ones.

Yea I hear you , I really appreciate all the info guys . I'll keep my eyes open for something and jump on it when it comes up .
