My listing sold tonight so thinking of coming out on Saturday but then Dean reminded me there is actually a battle day next Saturday so might have to take a rain check. 

Just Mitch and Martin so far ?

Sorry guys, I am still resting my shoulder for a few more days. Will be out next week to do some weeding and will blow torch the roads for next Saturday's battleday!

I didn't realize next week is an official battle day so will try my best to come out then.

This was the best image. I posted it on RCTank and then scanned it because no matter how I tried to edit in photos it was always 90 degrees on this site. It's amazing how the natural light and all the field work and Wojtek's buildings and all the figures and static vehicles available in the trailer can create a really nice diorama compared to what would be required to actually create something like that which is true art

Mornings provide directional lighting that will exaggerate textures and shadows.

A great example of this is how the zim on your Sturm stands out.

What happens at the tank field stays at the tank field.   Seriously though it's amazing how many people come over and want to find out about the hobby. Especially the customized old car people. Don't forget this is an incredibly niche hobby. You might be surprised but this time we might actually have a group of people interested in attending a battle day. I wish Dean had been there as it was a military heritage museum and me being a bit of a loogan I really had not much to offer other than enthusiasm and to give them a link to this site so they could introduce themselves.
Generally though these days are when most of the work on the field gets done. Not much this time as I didn't feel like wheel barrowing with a flat tire but Wojtek had built a new bridge with guardrails to replace a flag on the trailer end over the gully and we levelled that out which was just as much a pain in the butt as I remember when I put that new brick channel through and had to re-lay that flag

Flying back tomorrow and Saturday at least looks sunny so I'll probably drive out to test drive some of my tanks I've modified

I will be by your place Friday in the afternoon. I can pick up your Panther and also drop off your Tk-22A board as well.

That was fun and I really liked the field surface. The vegetation actually was fine because it wasn't dry so no issues in the idlers until I ventured the one time into the new crap gravel fill . Definitely good for base but needs either sand or filtering as a top layer. Those 2 quick mods Wojtek did to open up the sniping position and the extra wall for the ruined castle are great. Also made me finally get off my butt and repair all the internal damage that was done to my JPIV at Aquino 2022 by someone obviously grabbing the barrel when it was on the table and really working it. New recoil mechanism and whole new wire management and it works fantastic now.
