| I was clean up my work bench and going over my tanks to see if anything need to fixed or improved. Here is the list I came up with. - Sherman - add some storage and weathering / add metal drive sprockets / swap SLUs / add recoil
Panzer 3 - rebuild stowage rack / fix recoil / paint and winter track
Elefant - zimmermit and paint / add SLU
Tiger (Mona) - add recoil and flash / mount emitter and clean up wires
Panther - strip down and rebuild for secret project
Jadgpanther - fix gears / decide what new electronics to use and install
Other Tiger - complete rebuild, possible "what if" project
This is just the list for the tanks. I also have other project in mind too, like a IR bunker, and a CMP truck. What does every else have plan for the winter? _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

Thanks; no, it will stay in those colours & markings, It will get some more weathering and some "body work" to lok after things like the removal of the HL external r/c antenna mount an the switches on the bottom of the hull. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| I have cancelled my Jagdpanther conversion. I have run into upgrade gearbox fit problems with it. The whole build hinged around getting a good quality gearbox in it with powerful motors to allow more effective aiming of the tank, in absence of a turret, since they don't fit. that leaves me with no option but to cancel it. A turret-less tank would not fare well in a Sherman-swarm anyway. The Waltersons GB will now go in Panther 103 _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Glen won't the Mato 3:1 version 2.0 work, they have lower profile that the version 1's?
Is there a set for the Stug, that should fit a Jagdpanther. You might have to check the lenght of the drive shaft, but they can be switched. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

Yes, the Mato 3:1's would fit the JP but they cannot be fitted with 480's While the Mato's are lower, the stock motors come close to touching each other and the 480's are longer. I thought 480's would be necessary to assist the turret-less JP to be aimed with slight steering inputs, so it seemed to me like, no 480's, no JP. It seemed to me in testing Panthers with Mato 3:1's on short grass that the ability to correct gun aim in small amounts was marginal. Otherwise, I would put the Waltersons in Panther 103 and take 103's Mato 3:1's and put them in the JP. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| UPDATE
Curtis at Immortal Hobbies is sending me some 400's, to see if they fit the Mato's and will fit the JP.
While I was hoping to get 480's in it, the 400's might just get it done. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Glen the 400's are the same size as the stock motors from the 3:1's. Me and Strato have them in our Sherman's and run fine. Your Jagdpanther should be able to turn better than the Sherman's because of the wider track. _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

Do you think there will be a noticeable power increase with the 400's over the 3:1's with the stock Mato motors? I am thinking from the viewpoint of being able to pivot in place a few degrees for aiming the gun. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Well, even the Mato 3:1's won't fit the JP, the left motor is too high.
Consequently, that finishes the idea of a JP project. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

No, I'd have to shave right through the hull, it needs an extra 1/8" clearance. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."
