Hey Guys!

First, my apology, I was saying at last battleday that this battle weekend was on the 13,14,15th but that is WRONG!!! The Flying dutchmen airshow is on the Saturday the 8th and we always hold our weekend in conjunction with them. so for the weekend Friday night is purely set up and have some fun on the field. We will meet out there at 4 for set up. Saturday is the only points day to be fair to our friends who travel from far and wide. Sunday will be a play day and tear down. All this is dependent on weather of course! 

Lunch Saturday will be some wings, burgers, dogs, salads cost $10.00

Any questions at all let me know and pass the word around about the date!

I am thinking of taking some extra days off this end of summer and may come out and help setup on the Friday.

Unfortunately I am busy on the Sunday (TACCOM run the same weekend every year now for the past 3 years..., which I help setup the CSSA's booth and man it on the Sunday).

I thought it was a little strange that it conflicted with the Terry Fox run which my wifey organizes every year. It turns out it was the wrong weekend...... :-(

Unfortunately I am definitely out now since I have a wedding on Saturday at Peterborough and we are staying over.....

P.S. Where is the option for not attending ? Or is that not an option ?

I'll try to make all 3 days. Won't be around in October so will try to get as much field time as possible

Actually this is great news for me; I just realized I’m away for a race weekend September 13-17 at Watkins Glen.

Unfortunately I cannot make it on Friday but I will be there on Saturday and I will try to be there on Sunday.
Just to be sure, the location is at our field at the gun club?

The Flying Dutchmen flier says that it is only on Saturday the 7th.

That is correct. It is only on the Saturday this year. They are hoping to return to a 2 day event next year. We however, do this as a weekend event in memory of Ed. :-)

There shouldn’t be much to do since I helped Wojtek and we finished from bridge to bridge on the new road; just the road from bridge to Monte Cassino side to be done.

There are massive patches that need to be dug out and screened. No shortage of things to do 

I think you’re on to something Martin...instead of weed whipping, we should be digging up weeds and screening soil instead...that is more effective in the long run.

Oh, the moaning and groaning will probably continue regardless.

Just think of all the areas of the field that have been improved though...the north border is just the next area to be done.

Saturday in the day looks fine 18C and sunny and after the sweatfest that was Wednesday at the field that works for me

The riverbeds and everything left on the trailer side are next. The southern side of the river is next year, actually that whole quarter of the field by the Reimer Field sign needs a total overhaul next year. It's not working at all

Ya, especially the corner where the sign is; it’s become a dump site for all the rocks and totally unusable.

But was needed considering the insane amount of rain we have had this year. All those rocks and crap soil have saved the field. Next year we need a lot of input for a change on that whole quarter of the field. Myself I think we should turn it into a bit of an industrial complex rather than a farm area
