| I spent 2 hours today mowing the field and general clean up. The field is looking good and is dry. The rivers really drain the ground well.
We have 9 patio stones to place for the central village as per our Feb meeting.
There are other roads that have to be cleaned up and grass patches removed.
There is a hill that has to be removed to make room for the town.
Rivers need to be dug out and cleaned up.
The Allied and German bases need to have some grass removed too.
The forecast is calling for late afternoon early evening showers, so IMHO we should still meet tomorrow, at least to finish the renovations. We should still have 4-5 hours of work and battle time before the weather turns.
Check back at 9pm tonight for the final update. |

| Sadly, I won't be reporting for duty. I hope you guys have a productive day, and don't forget to take pictures for us poor schmoes who can't make it. While I'm stuck here in Windsor, I will be in my garage working on some stuff for the battle field, at a least I can contribute in some way. I will be finishing off 4 pieces of the railroad track, so don't forget to leave room for it, in total it is about 12' long. I also have a small bunker planned and some accessories. Have great day guy and don't forget the pictures! | We are going to miss the lads from Windsor.
March and April were a bust last year. It is hit and miss with our climate. Lets hope for 7 good Battle days to come. |

| It was a good day. Weather was overcast but there wasn't any rain except for about 3 minutes of a sprinkle that did have us wondering if it was the start of something. Temperature started off fairly warmed but the wind chill came up as the afternoon went on. We had 10 attendees and a few visitors. The first 1 1/2 to 2 hours was spent working on the field, changes included; - moving the village site to the centre of the field - setting patio slabs for the new village site - setting up a new installation point for the trestle bridge Roland built (looks REAL good) - moving one hill - drainage ditch clean out - a couple new hills on the edge of the site, removing one hill in the centre of the site. A kildeer had a nest on the hill nearest with eggs the German base, we where able to work and operate the tanks around her, she got more used to us and staid on the nest most of the time but I think she was happy when we left in the afternoon. The new layout is a big improvement with the village in the centre, I think the layout io much better than last year. We ran tanks for the rest of the day, things went very well _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Lots of fun today and the guys did a great job working on the feild, Thanks to all the workers. The feild looks great , we have more hills and I think the new set up will do fine.
Once we have a bigger turn out and all the buildings are on the feild, the battles are giong to be crazy...and fun...

| Hey guys! I put my (considerable) MS Paint skills to work and drew up a rough plan of the changes to the field! All I really added (artistic license) were some proposed cover along the riverbanks outside of the village, as it seemed to me that was a major factor limiting offensive movements!
