| Well, looks like you nailed the camo design. I guess the practice on the fine lines really paid off well. Great job !

Glen, the way the grass yellows by August, this tank will just blend in. You can let in opportunity to ambush Captain Action like that pass by! _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| The SLU is all assembled. This is the first one I have done by myself, everything works no sparks, no smoke Now I just have to complete the assembly and complete the tools and accessory installation. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Just reviewing some of the members build pictures and like the other comments , the camo is so excellent. It even crossed my mind that you must have photoshopped the dried grass to make that Panther almost disappear. |

No, I don't even have the skills to photo-shop Thats what my lawn looked like in the drought of the summer of 2012. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| May I ask how the road wheels are removed on this model of Panther?
I have just purchased one and wish to strip the suspension off so that I can go through it all and fettle the fit etc. Thanks, SteveB Calgary |

| Welcome to the forum, to bad you're a bit far away to "commute" to the club meets - SteveB_calgary wrote:

The centre caps pry off (I used a chisel blade Xacto-type blade). This reveals a Philips head screw that holds the wheel on the suspension arm; Once the wheels are off, the suspension arms can be removed, they are held on with 3mm Allen socket head screws, there is some tension on these from the springs. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Hi Glen, thank you for the confirmation of my suspicions and the terrific photo you posted to show this.
As you might guess I didn't want to damage the wheels in trying to remove them so I thought I would ask here on this forum.
My intentions are to remove all of the excess play in the moving parts to make things a bit better for overall running.
Great job on your Panther too...very nicely done.
Thanks for the welcome to the site and forum. I work for PM Hobbycraft here in Calgary and we have been selling Imex tanks since November last year. We hope to start a group of 1/16 scale enthusiasts who like to get together.
Now if someone would make a large scale Centurion I would be very happy. SteveB |
