I have probably install these babies more than I can count, but no, I do not know what the switch on the board is for. Can't imagine it being lipo cutoff but never tried. I thought maybe it is to turn on/off the brake function but nope tested that.
The pic I included is the only thing I can find about these ESCs. They don't come with any instructions of any kind whatsoever.

I think the switch only shuts the power off to the ESC and receiver. Not positive. I know the light on my receiver goes off when I switch mine.

Chris, Big Mike was talking about the micro switch that is on the board itself, not the power switch that is for the main power.

Ah. I hadn't messed with that at all.

I ordered a couple of these trucks for the nephews to bash with. Didn't realize they came with 4 link suspension and a different frame rail. It is the same axels, drive shafts and power pack as the military series. Just better articulation. Going to see if I can fit the military bodies on the new frames.

That is a fake 4 link suspension though... No swivel at the link joint to take body/chassis roll. The screws directly into the chassis mount link arms would have to have a bit of looseness in them to get true flex. So the suspension still tries to do a straight "UP and DOWN" suspension travel. Since the link arms are plastic I do bet they flex a bit for the lateral roll.

Well he is an engineer by trade which means that he is more interested in how it works rather than whether it works or not........

Greg. I measured it out to 7 and 7/16 inch. Same as the military series. Sorry I couldn't find my metric rule.

ok i hooked this up but not working can someone show me how you have it set up
Subject: Re: Heng Long Trucks ? Thu Dec 27, 2018 5:59 pm
Greg can you send a picture of your hook up ? Out of town in Quebec but it's pretty straight forward. This setup will only work the throttle you still need to setup for the steering servo separately.

I found out what that switch on the board is for.
Brake On/Off. When ON it prevents Instant reversing of power output.
Brake OFF. Drive forwards, then drive reverse = Instant reverse to motor.
Brake ON. Drive forwards, then drive reverse = Apply braking to forward direction. Need to drive reverse again to reverse motor.
