Hi all,

I ran into this last night testing my Tamiya Sherman, and being relatively new to them, it was a shocking revelation to me. While testing the Tamiya Sherman I got from Russ (via Jack), I noticed that the IR emitter doesn't fire and thought there is something wrong with the board, but as it turn out, I found out that if you don't have an apple plug in, the IR emitter does NOT fire IR signals.

So I guess this means you can't just go around shooting everyone if you can't accept hits yourself ! Very noble I must say, but a little shocking to me. Makes all the sense in the world but I am amaze they put in this little circuit.

Is this known to everyone ? How come we never encounters this on the battle fields ?

MikeC.

Yes you sure can. Apple function is completely separate from IR firing for Clark and IBU.
