A decision has been made to disband the Fort Erie Field, there will not be any more meets there.

This is to confirm my earlier messages on this subject.

As mentioned in an earlier post, I have reached a point where I do not wish to continue my role at the Fort Erie Field, and the remained of our small group of local members are in a similar position.

With our limited resources and energy, we cannot provide the type of R/C battle experience that serves as a draw for members/participants.  Consequently, our attendance has been lower.

The decision to disband was based on these factors.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped with the field over the year, and those who have been making the long trip from their homes to the field for meets for many seasons.

We will be coming up with a way to offer the field props (buildings etc.) to the other fields or to individuals who made/supplied them.  There will not be a rush on this, I would prefer to take the time to set it up so we can accommodate interested individuals.  I have had contacts from Captain Action, dgsselkirk and dougjobe on this.

We had fun at that battle field but this does not mean the fun stops there it is just moving to the two other battle fields. I am inviting the Fort Erie members to continue with the RC tank hobby at the Mississauga field, all are welcome there. I think we will all have a great Summer of RC Tank fun at both locations ! 

Also I want to see you guys at the Oshawa Tank show this year, no grass to cut there !!

what the hell are you talking about no grass to cut there! LOL! I spend 3 hours cutting the grass!

This is a sad shame indeed. The Fort Erie field was always very accomodating, but I think we all knew we got to play there somewhat at their leisure. Lots of excellent memories and times with friends on that grass, and for me, not a single tick...!

I will miss the Ticks ...NOT !

Don't tell Glen about the grass cutting cant you see he is in Lawn Care Rehab ...
