Welcome to Greg Cunningham Memorial Battle Weekend

This is our little tribute to Greg who passed away last year. Greg was a well known guy in the RC community from Windsor. A long time member who although rarely out for battledays was always active on the forum here as well as sites all over the world. Known as "airbrusher" Greg was always quick to lend a hand or advice to many tankers everywhere. I am sure Derek will have some more to say about Greg on the weekend.  


We have a couple of things going on outside the battles. On Saturday late day we will be letting off our "TANK" fireworks and some other explosive events. On Sunday the gun club is holding their annual Merc/deuce car show so that is a lot of fun to see. Remember as the gun club will be cooking lunch that day we will not be making a lunch on Sunday. We will appreciate the support for the gun club please! 


So, again, PLEASE MARK THE POLL TO INDICATE IF YOU ARE COMING!  
 
All participants will be entered in the end of season draw for one of a few prizes to be announced. Number of entries is based on how many days you come out. You will receive one ballot per day of play.
 
For non club members Entry fee  is $25.00. and everyone don't forget your lunch money! :-) For those who would like camping is available and of course there are numerous hotels around for those who would like to stay overnight.

Friday:
4 to 6 – Set up of buildings and positions
6 to 7 – Tank certifications and general drive around
7 to ? – dusk battles ?
 
Saturday:
8 to 12 – Tank certifications and general drive around
10 – 10:45 open class battle
11- 11:45 open class battle
11:45 - 12:30 1/2 field DRIVE AND SHOOT! Round One TOTY
12:30 to 1:30 Lunch 
1:30 to 3:15 1/2 field DRIVE AND SHOOT! Round Two TOTY PLUS 1/2 field team battles TOTY 
3:30 to 4:15  1/2 field DRIVE AND SHOOT! Round Three TOTY PLUS 1/2 field team battles TOTY
4:30 to 5:15 4 team Round Three TOTY
5:30 to 7:00 Supper 
7:00 to? Open class twilight battles
8:00 "TANK" fireworks and some other explosive events.
 
Sunday:
9 to 11 – Tank certifications if needed and general drive around
11 – 11:45 open class battle
11:45- 12:30 1/2 field DRIVE AND SHOOT! Round Four TOTY PLUS 1/2 field team battles TOTY
12:30- 1:30 Lunch        
1:30 to 2:15 Open Class battle
2:15 to 3:00 Final 1/2 field DRIVE AND SHOOT! Round  TOTY PLUS 1/2 field team battles TOTY
3:15 to 4:15 field pack up and goodbye…

DRIVE AND SHOTS is only open to Soviet tanks. I'll be there both days weather permitting.

Thanks Mike. Wish I could too. We just closed on our house last week. Tanks and everything is still packed with foam peanuts and in the storage locker. Just got the puter set up yesterday.
I'll be there in spirit for sure. I missed a lot the last couple years for sure and it weighs on me at times. I'm really proud to see how the field is evolving. A lot of good, engaged minds at work.

Weather is clearing! Looks like it's going to be a nice Sat./Sun. :-)

Watching Sunday closely...

Risk of thunderstorms is such a lazy forecast from the the weather channels. It's Southern Ontario in the summer there is always a risk of a t-storm. They have forecast rain for weeks in midtown Toronto. I think it's rained 15 minutes in the last  3 weeks

Yep, we for sure will get Saturday in. We will just play Sunday by ear... :-)

WTF!!! We got there at 11:30 and no one there.  Only day we could make it and a total waste of gas and time. 
I realize it was rescheduled from the 12th but didn't realize it started at 4:00.  Not good at guessing games, I guess.  Maybe see you all in October.
