As mentioned we will be setting up at this show. Drop by and see Canada's best modeling show bar none! Also a chance to see the museums aircraft collection and check out the vendors for some supplies. You will find the odd 1/16 item there too. I am hoping after doing this show they may be interested in letting us have a small area to run around in next year...

That would be great if they would allow that going forward...it would certainly increase visibility/awareness of the rc tanking rc battling communities.

Will be standing most of the day! I am bringing one chair and we will be rotating... :-)  9 am gates open. Be prepared! There will be a line up at 9 to get in! :-)

And fun was had by all! WOW! What a busy show! They actually reached building capacity and had to hold patrons up till some people started leaving! 

Came down parked in a mud field, paid the $16 took a quick look around and went out to get my tank to bring in and my truck had sunk to the rims and the surrounding area was totally chewed up so got the hell out while I still could. Sorry about that. Headed off to drop some stuff off at my sister's and came home. From what I saw of the armor models on display I'm not sure why they look down their noses at our 1/16 armor. Tanks I see in St. Jacobs are as good as almost anything there and ours move (most of the time) 

I must have luck out. Showed up around 9:45pm and drove in thru the main/staff lot, did one round and then they let couple of people parked right in front of the main entrance. I guess that's the advantage of ignoring the "where to park" sign.

Saw Dave from the old Hornet Hobby in Toronto......... My old dig until he closed it just before the pandemic. Also make sure I don't have any cash with more so can't buy stuff, but lots of people have Square anyway. 

The closest thing was a Final Yamato from the Space BattleShip Yamato series for $50........ Passed anyway. Said hi to Norma, Dean and Sandy and that was that. The new Lancaster kit was everywhere. I guess if there is a place to sell it this is it.

so sorry for your day Martin! We wondered where you were! It isn't a question of how they look. what they don't like is that in most cases they are not models. (Tamiya excepted) you don't actually build HengLongs, Taigens, Torro, etc... You simply pull out of the box, do some detailing and a paint job but you don't actually build them. BUT attitudes are changing. Over the last 10 years all the shows I have done and preaching I have done, a lot of people are finally coming to recognize that they can be worked into a reasonable model with a lot of kit options out there now. There are classes for scratch built, modified resin, etc.. Yea, lots of people were complaining about the muddy field! I have been to every Heritagecon since they started and that is by far the busiest I have ever seen. We got lots of complements and potentially a couple of new recruits! Saw a Jagdpanther asking $60, There was a Tamiya Sherman for $600. It went home with the guy, a few 1/16 figures, Stug, and Easy 8's from Tacom. And of course the usual paints, supplies, etc... We moved most of Norma's kits, and some I had lying around. didn't move my decals that I thought would sell but no worries, on to ebay they go! :-)

Lots of curious folks asking all kinds of questions, from mechanical to radio and all in between. Hopefully we get a bunch of visitors!

That Tamiya Sherman stayed with the seller? I assume the same one we had discussed briefly...

Six hundo for a Tammy Sherman is pretty good ! Did someone text Wojtek about it ? Is it the old school wired one or the newer twin motor with clutch ?
