| So... I have upgraded the wiring to the clark box. When I start the tank up everything works fine, However, as soon as I fire the cannon the barrel cycles up and down on its own until I turn the power off. I have hooked the wiring for the elevation motor to the 5&6 pins as the instruction say. Anyone know what I can do to make this work properly.
thanks Paul |

| Can you clarify, is it the elevation or the recoil of barrel that is cycling?

| Paul, I am pretty sure you counted the pin from the wrong end. It should be next to the rotational motor wiring and not the MG/Headlight end. I do this all the time when I convert to clark board. What happens is that when you hit fire the trigger is what turn on the rotational motor. The fact that they don't stop also means that you probably have the Pos+/Neg- reversed as well. MikeC. |

MikeC. hey Mike.. I counted the pins from right to left. If I look at the board, pin 1 is marked on the right. The instructions said that pos/neg placement didnt matter. If it does in fact matter I will swap thm around and see if that helps.... Stay Tuned Paul |

| Hmmm..... The only other thing I can think of is that sometimes those 8 pin cables switches the pin around so you might want to trace them and make sure they are going to the right pin locations on the clark board. This happened to my clark conversion last week......... |

| It does sound like you have either the elevation and recoil wires in the wrong places, or perhaps that simply one of their positives is in the wrong spot.. What happens when you try to actually use barrel elevation on its own? Does that work properly? Is this a regular stock Tiger or do you have things like barrel recoil in the turret? Im thinking that with a possible wire in the wrong place and the Clark board being programmed for a recoil motor, and if there ISNT one installed (thats a whole different beast), it doesn't have the recoil 'stop' switch to tell the motor to stop... but maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here. Just remember to use this as much as possible, if you aren't already! http://www.clark-model.com/eng/prod_rx20/index.htmlIt's basically my clark bible.. I use it religiously _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| If it is cross wired when you use the elevation the main gun will start firing instead. |

| That's a good point too, but it should stop when the control stick self centers again, or it should start the moment you turn the radio on...... |

| UPDATE: I had Black on pin 5 and Red on pin 6. I swapped them around and nothing happens after firing. The elevation does not work at all. |

| Okay so after you swap the wires between pin 5/6 when you fire nothing happens afterwards (which is right) but the elevation doesn't work at all (which is not right).
Can you send a pic of the set-up, and also if it is Airsoft or IR and whether you are using servo recoil or just the HL stock recoil ?
This is starting to sound strange.

| I had a similar problem with my tk22 for my jagdpanther and the cure was hooking up a elevation servo not using the elevation motor it is much more percice and takes up a whole lot less space in the hull thus making room for more goodies |

| I agree with Mike, starting to sound strange.. more details on what you're running in your tank please!
Info like.. was your elevation working fine BEFORE you started upgrades? Did you attach the correct wires from the elevation unit (some HL stock setups have that weird safety switch gizmo that adds more wires to the mix... )
I suspect now that maybe the wires on pin 6 and 7 are also mixed, now that you don't get the constant running of the motor but also have no proper function of the unit... hmmmm... _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

MikeC Mike, When I swapped the wires and fired the cannon the barrel does nothing on its own or with the remote. I bought this tank from Curtis at the show in Kitchener. He did the initial installation of the clark box. I do not know if the barrel worked before the swap. This is a good point. Maybe it didnt work to begin with. |

| I would get Curtis to look at it. He will take care of it for you I am sure plus he would know the initial wiring as well. |
