They used lots of T34's in various configurations usually with Turret removed as heavy haulers. I have also read that during Kursk the 2nd SS overan a Russian repair depot and found a couple of dozen operational T34's and used them in a night attack where they destroyed and overran Russian positions before the Russians realized it was Germans operating the equipment!

On another piece of equipment I remember reading they captured like 15,000 76.2mm AT/HE guns and rechambered them to take PAK 40 ammo. They were found as far a field as North Africa!

I can only imagine the German Tankers cursing at the horrific-to-drive T-34 compared to their less stressful Panzer IIIs & IVs. "Gott Verdammt! Meine arme werden brechen."
