| thanks for the welcome. I know its hated but I bought a mato all metal tiger. This is my base platform which i'll strip down and add an aber photo etch detail set to. Haven't picked a color scheme yet, doing some research on Michael Wittmann to see if he used an early tiger or he went to a mid right away. |

| None of us hate the all metal Mato stuff. Is it the new one with the TK22 already in it or old electronics? _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov

| well just got my tiger not impressed at all. To start with barrel elevation is not working the servo connection was found in the hull .The recoil servo seems to be doa. The paint job is brutal to say the least can't touch it without causing chips and scratches.Contacted matomart guess will see if they stand by their product I'll update the process if anyone is intrested let me know. |

| rxp1, looking at Mato's site, it doesn't look like the Tiger has servo elevation so maybe it is actually the servo recoil (Which doesn't make sense either as it looks like it has a Heng Long recoil and not a serbo recoil) ? Anyway sorry to hear about this and good luck.
If you end up having to work this out yourself there is lots of knowledge here on the Clark board which is what your tank is shipped with I believe. The all metal RTR version, correct ? |

| Hi mike ya it has servo elevation its a futuba which is actually a decent servo use them in my align helis. The barrel recoil looks like a generic brand mini servo. Great to offer help with clark board that will really help, not to sure in the inner workings of a clark board. Also it is the ready to run version well almost ready to run lol |

| If you are spending that kind of money on a metal Tiger repaint it anyway as it will be hopelessly wrong... Between Mike and Jordan (Strato50) they will be able to get you up and running no problem. Even I can do most of the servo stuff and recoil. Radio setup is where I am useless eh Michael... _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov

| you hit the nail on the head about the paint, oh well was going to repaint anyways.Going with a complete rebuild on the outside with aber kits to update the clamps ,cables , cleaning rods and a few other items. Again thank guys for offering to help going to need it lol. Still not boiling mad about this tank I always enjoy challenge but usually its my own fault ie flying to close to trees with my helis |

| Setting up a tank with a Clark board from scratch can be a pain if you've never done it before or havent worked through a conversion. It seems like nobody bothered testing your tank out and just shipped it parts in-place. A bit lame but not a nightmare. First thing that comes to mind is servo wires in the wrong place, wrong order, or backwards... all possible, but it won't break anything. Take a run down Clarks set-up page and see if everything is plugged in right. http://www.clark-model.com/eng/prod_rx20/index.htmlBeyond that they might not have bothered to turn on servo-recoil, which is pretty dumb considering (I assume) they didn't include a programming remote. That requires help from someone who has one! >< _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| Just occur to me also that servo elevation by default is NOT active so you might have to check to see if it is actually turn on. Also, don't be fool with the Futaba label on the servo. There are many knock-offs with Futaba stickers on them. I have gotten some off the web that has a Futaba model number on it and then found it they don't even look the same as the real thing. |

Exactly Mike, I'm wondering if it's even turned on... which wouldnt surprise me but it's still kinda stupid on Mato's part. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| lots of info guys when I get home Thursday I'll start checking all the things you guys have posted. You maybe right about the servos being knock offs because if I recall there was no grommet covering on the base of the servo protecting the wires. |

| ok here comes the questions 1) on a clark board what is the position of the barrel recoil servo and elevation servo plug in from the turret. 2) it has sound and sometimes movement in the lower half when firing does this mean its been programed or is it standard to all clark boards.
good news it runs so all is not lost just have to get the elevation and recoil worked out.
cheers |

| Ok quick update on my sick kitty, been in contact with matomart and I 've been told that they are going to send me a new turret. Something new, the sound is now missing wow chase one gremlin another one shows up lol. Starting to think its cursed. Now quick question to the experts if a clark board fails the whole system should not work ie movement and lights?. I still have turret rotation, full track movement and lights not sure if that helps cheers |

| Like most board, there are individual components. So you could have one failing (i.e. No sound) and yet everything else is working, or one motor control failed and the other track and everything else will still work.
The trim shouldn't have that much of an effect. When you plug the servos in the proper place, what happens ? Do you even get a slight movement to indicate power is going to them ?
Also, if you have a Sony remote we can also try walking you thru with programming on the Clark to check on different things. |

| when I plug in the servos and power up the barrel elevates slightly up and down , then I have no control of it. It will hum like it is locked into place. yes I have a sony remote its from a new tv does that matter? If it helps I can list what is working 1) forward ,reverse and turning 2) turret rotation 3) headlights and cannon light 4) shutter during cannon fire not working 1) barrel recoil and elevation 2) machine gun light 3) sound |

| Hmmm well sounds like the servo recoil might be turned off on the board. There is a specific Sony remote that is used for these boards, I'll try to find out which. I think it's around $10, and you need it to turn different features off and on.
Sound might just be that the volume control wire is loose or disconnected. The sound won't work without it plugged in even if the speaker is still plugged in. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT
