So I know that Clark has their Tamiya/Impact apple mount and cable set. I'm looking to make one that will be somewhat universal...

Dual Apple base - TBU & HBU capable Array10

I picked up a 40x3 pin array. I plan on trying to see if I can create a universal one for both the Tamiya/Impact Apple mount as well as the HL/Taigen Apple mount.

Going to look at doing this...
Dual Apple base - TBU & HBU capable Hbu-tb10

Which I plan to modify my 3D-printed version of this. (Tamiya TBU Base with lock section).

Any interest?

Whoops I have 6 & 7 Mixed up in my sketch... But it will depend on the rigidity of which side is small vs large pin on the HL Apple.

Ingenious but why would you need Heng Long if you have Tamiya already ?

To market for a universal base Smile Some may not have Tamiya's yet... Or may only have one and want multiple tanks to run...

IBU use a different connector than Clark? Or same JST-XH 5 pin?

The HL/Taigen/Clark MFU boards are all JST-XH 5 pin with the same pin out.
So IBU has the same pin out with both a JST-XH (2.5mm pitch) 5 pin and a Tamiya Molex Micro-Latch (2.0mm pitch) 5 pin connector?

Yes. Its plug and play compatible with Heng Long IR tanks, even more so then Clark because the 8 pin plug is also plug compatible.

Gonna make a couple bases up maybe this weekend.. At least get the components/wiring done for it...
Plan on using ABS in the 3D printer for strength.

Will be my first 3D print job... IF I can get it to work Smile
