| What a weekend! Thanks so much those of you who came out in support of the club. After a little wet weather early Saturday the crowds kept coming Saturday and even Sunday. It was a fantastic turn out for the event and set a new attendance record. At one point I did a rough count and we had just over 100 people watching the display or checking out our "tank alley" across the tables on the back of the tent line!I think it will be even bigger next year with the addition of a couple of German tanks to the lineup. I want to thank all of you for being so patient with the public. I know we all came to run tanks and it can be a little exasperating with the kids wanting to play with them but there was WAYYYYY more interest in what we do this year than the last 3 years I felt. We made lots of new connections and I believe we will see some new members come out of it for sure. There is even a possibility of a new garrison of the club in Montreal! J Many thanks to the Friday set up crew. I would have had to leave it till Saturday morning as I was pretty burned out from mowing the lawn! And thanks to Sunday crew for the teardown especially Ren and his brothers who really didn’t have to help! Bud, thanks for bringing the cake and having me repair your IR at 3:30 in the morning after I woke up with spicy chicken wing heartburn Saturday night! Gave me something to do! LOL!
And Big Mike you lucky bastard!!! _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov

| Stop blaming me for your heartburn... You had wussy Spicy stuff! Yeah, I had pretty much an awesome weekend (barring the KV-1 eating gears)...
Thanks once again Dean... I had a blast, and always enjoy talking to people...
I think that next year I'll bring a pair of Jadgpanthers for the "Public" to drive around with. No whistles or bells, just basic tanks with upgraded drive lines for durability... |

| Good idea, I'm sure I will have one or 2 by next year as well. Biggest thing was we had to do small field because of conditions so hopefully next year it will be drier and we can make the field a little bigger too so we have less risk to the tanks... _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." | I brought the Bart tank for public use but was out of commission, due to stock single band frequency issues.Too bad. It's a Taigen Pan-Tiger bulldozer really, and driven by you know who, so beware when its on the field. Oh and sometimes Bart brings Homer as backup. | I am so disappointed that I couldn't get there this year, but I am glad it was a success and maybe I can make it next year if the army is nice to me. |
