Mato Upper from Matomart (I put the discount card to use!). It's pretty highly detailed. Comes with the loading crane too. |

Interesting. So what material is it ? I am pretty sure the original Mato doesn't use this type of material.

It looks like a resin. I'll have to have Dean have a look at it.

The vision block "hatch" on the upper structure roof pops off akin to a hatch. The loading crane arm. The only opening hatch is the rear hull one. The grab bars are sooo fragile, I'll need to make out of metal and replace them... The Money Shot! Kaboom! That barrel is almost an inch in diameter on the inside! Rooftop angle. The large rectangular hatch is not functional. The gun mount has both elevation and traverse. Elevation is a side mounted rotating style (Panther/Sherman/Stug), but the traverse is a sideways mounted elevation cam. (Push/pull). This upper is a LED/IR version. There is a single IR Receiver/LED on the harness on the back of the upper (Under the vision block "hatch"). It looks like a resin, but the gun and traverse/elevation unit looks to be the same material. So maybe a cheaper plastic?

I'm thinking that I can link up 2-3 HID LED units and fit them around an upgraded Tamiya IR Emitter (In a tube) inside the barrel. Make it a REALLY bright flash...

Mike, I actually created a sound files for the rocket launcher for my strumtiger. I can see if I can find it for you. It combines the launch/firing sound and the rocket travel sound.
