So, my family are fans, and we thought it would be fun one day to classify the various commanders in the show.
(In all seriousness, if you haven't seen it, you need to check it out on Netflix or Kissanime - it is insanely entertaining.)
And here we go...
Miho (Ooarai): Most fun person to play board games with.
Darjeeling (St. Gloriana): Most pleasant person to attend a social function with.
Kay (Saunders): Most fun person to go to a party with.
Anchovy (Anzio): Best caterer.
Katyusha (Pravda): Best person to have on your side in a bar fight (also, most likely person to start a bar fight).
Maho (Kuromorimine): Best person to have on your side in any other fight (also, least likely person to start a fight, but most likely person to end one).
Mika (Jatkosota): Most likely person to turn out to be a forest spirit.
Nishi (Chi-Ha-Tan): Most likely to be the voice of reason in an argument.
Marie (BC Freedom): Best dessert caterer.
(Sharing this here instead of the GuP subreddit because people posting NSFW images of characters who are high school students strikes me as REALLY creepy.)

There are episodes that have had my wife and I in tears of laughter.

I really, really have a hard time understanding the fascination with this shit... Just my opinion...

Well, I can only speak for myself, but there are five things about it that grab me in a big way:
1. It is REALLY fun, completely tongue-in-cheek, and insanely entertaining.
2. Point one notwithstanding, it's actually really well written with sympathetic characters that are enjoyable to watch.
3. The tank battles are amazing - I'm not kidding when I say that they're better than anything in Fury, Tankers, T-34, or White Tiger.
4. There is an attention to detail that is absolutely astounding - the tanks move faster than they can in real life, but that may be the only thing the show gets wrong about them. Each episode is filled with historical references, and if you know your WW2 history, you'll catch at least some of them (and a lot are very deep dives).
5. It is family friendly - the entire conceit is that tank battles have been turned into a varsity sport that can be done (relatively) safely. When a tank gets hit, nobody gets turned into paste or a human torch. When a Tiger shows up on screen, the people inside it are not complicit in crimes against humanity. I can watch this with my daughter in a way that I could never watch a movie like Fury.
And that's the appeal to me. Others' mileage may vary.

The subtitles on that second clip are...interesting.
The actual show is subtitled and dubbed somewhat differently.

What show is this ...Panzer Girls?
This is a show named "Girls und Panzer," which is a Japanese anime about high school girls driving and battling tanks in a tournament ("They use live rounds, but with an eye for the participants' safety.") It is utterly insane, incredibly fun, and very worth tracking down and watching.
It has also been called "World of Tanks, the series."

Like any production that is not a historical documentary, you always need to leave a bit of your logical mind at the door.
3. I won't say they are better battles. More comical, unrealistic and entertaining solutions/battles? Oh yes 100% agreed. Yes that is a Hetzer being run up on by a Maus so the FT could ramp the hetzer's back and jump onto the back deck to immobilize the turret.
Movie "realism" fails... Fury: Actual engagement ranges and tactics (A Tiger closing in and chasing a tank? WTF? But it's a movie so check my brain at the door). White Tiger: What quiet tanks the Germans made... Shhhh…. Let alone the Faux Tiger... T34: The ricochet of the cobblestone road into the lower hull still gets me shaking my head.
4. The detail is typical for many mechanical based Anime. The detail of the mechanicals is top notch, with the characters being cartoony/soft in contrast. It makes both stand out better because you can differentiate much easier. There arei a lot more wrong with them, but again. Park your brain at the door when watching a movie.
Realism fails Other than speed? In general most are physics related... No accounts for the kinetic impacts of shells on crews. No spalling. Have a surrender/out of action flag that pop's out when the tank is a loss? (including one in the bottom hull for upside down tanks? WTF?) See the above image... 188 tons of Maus would crush the Hezter's (16 ton) front end by popping every weld on the front hull. How do you fit 3 people into a FT-17?
That being said, I do like Girls Und Panzer and have most of the Anime on DVD.

Always watch Subtitles. You lose some of the emotional inflection with dubbing. While the translations are not usually perfect, you get the emotional gist of the dialogue with the original voice acting.
I have watched anime for a long time...
"Scientific Ninja Team - Gatchaman!" (1972) was renamed "G-Force" in North America in the late 70's (Battle of the Planets was the show title, with robot 7-Zark-7 added in, and a bunch of violence, profanity, and nudity removed)
In the original Tekkaman: The Space Knight, the character is always referred to as Tekkaman, the Space knight. Not once was he called just Tekkaman. LOL.

Having seen both, the dubbing isn't too bad - there are a few scenes where some of the comic timing is lost, but for the most part they do a good job.
If we watch it any time during the day, we tend to use the dubbed version - our daughter loves it, but she's 2 1/2 years old, so reading subtitles is a bit beyond her at the moment.
(Also, in defence of White Tiger, the white tiger tank is a ghost/supernatural force in the movie. So, being quiet and able to sneak up on things is a reasonable thing for it to do.)

Otherwise...small tanks have done amazing things against superior forces, as demonstrated in the Winter War - now APOLOGIZE TO THE FINNS!
(That joke will make sense if you've seen the show.)
