| If I were looking at a WWII RC tank as a second tank (dont want to be the lone 'modern' tank out there), what are the pros and cons of Heng Long vs Taigen? I bought my HL Leopard from Mato, so obviously I'd need to find a reseller of Taigen if that was going to be the option. Also, I'm guessing that none of the resellers sell RC tanks without radio gear, short of the 'static' full metal, that Mato sells Cheers, Russ |

| Pick which tank you are leaning toward first that will narrow the good options. There are also Torro's out there plus guys in the club always have tanks for sale... :-) _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." | M26... T34 for sure Taigens is really nice! Heng Long's is ok with a couple of minor tweaks. I just happen to have a Tamiya KT that is 1/2 built full option kit.... :-) _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." | Just from a newbs perspective but I can say IMEX has very good customer service on their Taigen stuff. Very quickly answer emails about any difficulties with their products. That being said I'm doing a Tamiya for my next tank |

| BUT, they don't ship to Canada and now that Eric has moved up the ladder I am hearing rumblings about their customer service... _____________________________________________ "There are things in Russia which are not as they seem..." Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov

| They got right back to me on the barrel recoil question yesterday. Granted their answer about me checking that i might have pulled a connector from the motherboard wasn't what I was looking for but I did get a good answer on just getting a IR barrel recoil in there to go with a new non Taigen board so it would work with the Tamiya battle system. I really like the tank and I have no intentions of relegating it to a shelf queen |

I think one reason there's so much German stuff out there is that manufacturers like Heng Long have far more Axis vehicles in their product lineup than Allied, which is unfortunate for those of us who would like more more selection when it comes to affordable models of Allied AFV's. For what it's worth, I really do like my Heng Long Sherman...Good luck in your search. |
