If any of you has any suggestions to get a leopard A4 turret to traverse and get a gun elevation? I used HL electronics and the tank runs fine. Thanks Dan

Here is an update of the Tamiya Leopard A4 gun elevation modifications, using Heng Long Pershing Servos. One issue is that on the Leopard, the gun axis is on the bottom of the turret and the Heng Long servo is using the top part of the turret to be fastened. Anyhow, I was able to use the HL aluminum gun liner  (for the pellet shooting) by cutting a short part and, with a dremel, made an elongated hole, in which the servo would fit to make the gun go up and down. The bottom part of the turret is the glued from the HL Pershing and will allow the turret traverse.

That works ! The Heng Long unit is actually the easiest to put in. Servo DIY sometimes get s tricky. I like this, nice and simple.

I assume you are not doing recoil right ? Otherwise will need a different solution.

No recoil, I am not familiar with this. Anyhow, I cannibalized the Pershing and this was not part of it. By reversing the wires in the connector, for the gun elevation, it goes up when the stick goes up on the Remote control. Simple solution. I finished the electronic part, and now I will do the tank finishing on the body and the turret.
I wonder if there is a way to secure the turret, between the top and the bottom part, but still be a way  to access the inside by opening it?
