| I've decided to fix a few things on my P3. So I started with some new shoes. I got a set of Impact Winter tracks on eBay last summer for a good price, and finally got around to using them. I first soaked them in vinger to darken up the metal, it was a whitish-grey. Then I gave them a wash of a mixture of bark brown and a touch of bronze metallic. Followed by another wash of medium brown, to tone down the bronze metallic. The tracks looked good in the house, but when I took them outside they looked a little orangy-brown to me. I think a black wash would tone it down better. So take a look and let me know what you think. I will also need to change the colours of the tracks in the front too. Which I just notice is missing it 2 middle teeth! _____________________________________________ HL Panzer III | HL Tiger | HL Jagdpanther | HL Panther | Mato Sherman Hooben Elefant | HL Pershing | HL Bergepanzer IV | Tamiya Leopard 1A | WSN T-34 HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger | M16 Halftrack | HL Panzer IV | Tamiya KV-1 | Tamiya Tiger

| Not really missing teeth.... battle damage. It's where one allies fired round at the tank and the good 'ol spare tracks saved the day. Ads Character. I have one track on the front of one of my tigers that is busted and I was thinkin, yea, that's looks fine too. Regards to the colour... in the bottom pic it looks a lil too brown, but, when you look at pic 1 and 2 ... 100% Not that asking me is getting you anywhere, I'm really not the guy to comment on weathering. | Not that I am a expert either..........lol. but I do think a black wash will just finish them off nicely.

| I like that it's clearly a Left and Right handed set, that's cool. I hope you got lots of spares!
I like the colour. Maybe a tad darker I agree, but run it on some concrete and it'll look perfectly worn. _____________________________________________ Tiger I - Panzer II - Panzer III - Panzer IV - Chi Nu Kai - Panther G - KV-1b 756(r) M4A3(76) Sherman - T-34/85 - M3 Grant - SECRET PROJECT

| I did some quick searches on winter tracks and only found B&W images . So running them in snow and mud would rust them up pretty soon ,so my 2 cents is you got it right . |

| Stince since I always somehow find inspiration in your works, I've gone ahead and modified my Panzer 3 as well! Hopefully I can also demonstrate the difference between a flash and non-flash photo, especially on yellow tanks like mine All I did was tank an airsoft barrel (from my Tiger, I think) filed it down in a drill press to make it a bit more scale.. now I have a long-barreled Panzer! Feel free to rivet-count and explain to me why it's wrong on a Panzer H... I really only know that the lifting brackets on the front are wrong (I have both H and J versions... ) Anyway, I like it. | Looks all right to me.
The only major difference at the moment, that I can see between the two is the extra armour plate around the drivers port and hull machine gun on my Panzer.

I think I'm working on 4 tanks at once, plus I'm still kicking around the Unimog. I hear ya... I don't know what direction Im going just yet, but I have no plans yet for NEW tanks.. So far the biggest draw Im feeling is to upgrade my Tiger, Panzer & Sherman to some recoil system.
