Need some help boys , the emitter on my tank stopped working , I'll give you the rundown , it's a new tk22 board , hobby king T6A radio , basic ir hop up setup , it worked great at kitchener meet , but I continuously left the toggle switch on , which was my fire button , ( duh ) ! My fault , which eventually led to burning my bulb out , quick change of the bulb and I was back out and battling , but eventually got weaker thruout the day , had a couple small battles here in welland where I literally have to drive up the other tank to make a hit , then it finally quit working all together, I've tried numerous 940 clear and latest blue bulbs , plugs etc , finally checked it with my multimeter , looking for small voltage, I think it's 1.5 or so volts ? Got nothing , need some advice before I condemn the board , thanks

Could definitely be the board at this point unfortunately. I've had one go out in the same manner, but over a bit more time. They aren't 100% indestructible and with use eventually things wear down, the decrease in range over time points to that... and probably that it was left on for awhile.

Before sending it back to Clark (He will fix them under warranty) perhaps Mike can take a look and see if it's something simple.

Yea the IR LED on these boards runs at 1.5V

That's the spirit! Plenty of spares and 'extra' tanks make for a happy anyone.

Dean might be able to help with a board return, or if we have more than one it's cheaper to ship. Standby for input.

Clark usually charges $10USD for repair and that includes shipping. I have gotten boards back from repair when he puts it into the package that Dean gets, but it is really just for convenience and timing.
